Show THE Wednesday, November 30, 1977 Silver Bell Fire And Soil Reports ' A conditional use permit application for the Silver Bell apartments, formerly called North Star North, was tabled by the Planning Commission Wednesday night pending a report from the Park City Fire Protection Protec-tion District and the resolution of concerns expressed ex-pressed by the city engineer. The apartment project is planned to consist of three fourplexes situated on 56,000 square feet of ground west of the 1200 block of Lowell Avenue. The three buildings would cover 6,912 square feet. In a letter sent to the commission, the city's consulting con-sulting engineer John Probasco said soils and slopes in the ' area necessitated a retaining wall for the project. He expressed concern over the soil mechanics and recommended recommen-ded that a structural engineer by employed by the city to review the Silver Bell plans and to provide input. In addition, the commission com-mission decided to wait for a report from the fire district before it takes action on the conditional use permit. "We want to know if they feel good about servicing it (Silver Bell)," commission chairman Burnis Watts remarked.1 , ' The commission had previously required that a landscape model, a revised site plan, and environmental analysis and a construction time schedule for the project be submitted. All of these were supplied, according to City Planner David Preece. Project engineer Jack Johnson told the commission that the construction site soils would not pose a problem.
