All my troubles are gone and I'm at peace with mvself in the air. At last we can fulfill the dreams of our ancestors. We can climb to the greatest heights overlooking the panoramic splendor, and then 1 step off gracefully and fly . I can't capture in words the beauty I feel when I'm in the air. 1 can fly!" In Title Game The Club, an early season powerhouse in the women's Softball league, has been eliminated from the post season playoffs, leaving the Rec. Dept. and the Red Banjo to battle for the title Thursday night. The three clubs found themselves in a tie for first " it the end of the regular season, forcing a double-elimination double-elimination playoff series. The fast-fading Club, which lost four games at the season's end to relinquish their strangle hold on first place, suffered two quick playoff defeats, ending a disappointing campaign. Home runs by Rhonda Cannard and Trine Jensen bolstered by the solid hitting of Pam Rapplean pushed the Red Banjo to a i:i-9 victory over the Club Tuesday. August 2:?. The Club drubbed despite tight fielding by Tammy Polychronis and Carol Linkins and good pitching from Kathy Kocinski. In last Thursday's contest, the Banjo downed the Rec. Dept. 13-9. The game was flawed by numerous errors by both squads but the Banjo again rode to victory on the strength of their hitting. The end came for the Club Monday night in a chilly duel with the Rec. Dept. which was close until the late innings. With base hits and base stealing commonplace, the Rec. girls found themselves on the winning end of a 23-15 score. Tuesday's action featured a rematch between the Red Banjo and the Rec. Dept. Strong hits to right field by Kim, Susan and Jamie helped the Rec. Dept. turn the tables on the Banjo, 17-5, forcing Thursday's title game. ITALIAN RESTAURANT GLUB NOW REOPENED for Summer (and Carmen is Cooking!)
