The man had placed several real estate signs on the victim's property prop-erty without his permission. The man became upset after placing another sign on the property and finding that it had been taken down. The man went to confront the victim about taking down his signs and the man threw a step ladder at the victim hitting him and injuring his arm. CHILD ABUSE - A 31-year-old woman was at a local restaurant restau-rant with her 2-year-old son. CEDAR HILLS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - A 42-year-old woman was arrested for domestic violence unlawful detention. The woman got into an argument with her husband. He attempted to leave and she stood in the doorway blocking it and detaining him against his will. THEFT Several tools were reported taken from a construction construc-tion site. FOUNTAIN ASSAULT - An officer responded re-sponded to a fight between juveniles in the Pioneer Addition area. During the fight a BB gun had been fired. The young man who had allegedly used the BB gun was arrested for assault and released to a parent. Charges will be filed in the American Fork Juvenile Court. SPEED LIMIT CHANGE Eagle Mountain police officers on patrol along SR73 have issued is-sued a number of citations and warnings to speeders, especially near the traffic light. The speed limit between Mt. Airey and Canyon Wash Dr. on SR73 has been changed from 65 mph to 55 mph. The reduction in the speed limit was made because of the installation of the traffic traf-fic light. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ASSAULT AS-SAULT A juvenile boy was cited into Juvenile Court on March 23 for domestic violence assault in the presence of a child. SUSPICIOUS - A man was booked into the Utah County Jail on March 23 for burglary on a dwelling, criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools. TRUANCY - Three juveniles who were ditching school on March 21 were picked up and released to their parents. DRIVING-UNDER THE INFLUENCE INFLU-ENCE - On March 20, a man was cited for DUI, speeding and open container following a traffic traf-fic stop. CIVIL PROBLEM - Police responded to a report of a civil problem on March 18 that result after a soccer ball went into the neighbor's yard. PLEASANT GROVE VEHICLE BURGLARY - A Sirius dash mount satellite receiver re-ceiver and various recorded media me-dia were reported stolen from a vehicle on March 26. Ballroom Dance Company spring concert Utah Valley State College's Ballroom Dance Company will present their Spring Concert April today through Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Ragan Theater with an additional ad-ditional matinee performance Saturday at 2 p.m. ' "In these concerts, the Ballroom Ball-room Dance Company will show the culmination of their work from the past year," said Scott Asbell, ballroom dance program director at UVSC. "These will be some of the dancers' best performances." The concert will feature the music from both old and modern mod-ern films, to which dancers will perform a mix of Latin and traditional dances, including the cha-cha, samba, rumba, Viennese Vi-ennese waltz and foxtrot. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A March 30 traffic stop for a plate light violation resulted re-sulted in the arrest of a man for the plate light violation, possession posses-sion of drug paraphernalia and two valid warrants. ASSAULT Police responded to an assault call on March 29. One man assaulted another man while the second man was assisting the first man's wife in leaving the home where the assault occurred. The man was cited for assault. ASSAULT - On March 31, officers offi-cers were called to a residence in Pleasant Grove where a man and woman were involved in a fight. The man was arrested and taken from the scene. The woman was cited and released on scene. Annual BFA show opens at UVSC's Woodbury Art Museum Utah Valley State College's Woodbury Art Museum will feature the works of several graduating UVSC Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) students at its annual BFA show Friday to April 27. VEHICLE BURGLARY - A reporting party on March 31 reported his vehicle was broken into and several items were taken including a leather jacket, iPod headphones, a backpack and other. SARATOGA SPRINGS SHOPLIFTING - Deputies responded re-sponded to a call from a Smith's security guard at 1:30 a.m. on March 25. The guard reported observing two girls putting makeup and personal care items into their purses and pockets. The girls did not pay for the items. Officers stopped them as they exited the store. The girls were cited for retail theft, curfew violation, and the driver was cited for juvenile driving after midnight. They were released to their parents and will answer the charges in juvenile court. "The work in the exhibit represents the efforts of each artist during the past year in refining and developing their personal visual voice," said Marcus Vincent, Woodbury Art Museum director and associate professor of art at UVSC. "This is the culminating culminat-ing point of their degrees, and a time of great excitement in the department to see the best works produced by our best students." Displayed will be the works of fourteen BFA students. Each independently developed their project and competed to earn one of the exhibit's limited spots. Their works include photography, pho-tography, illustration, graphic design, sculpture, painting and drawing. The artists will be at the museum mu-seum on the night of the opening open-ing reception to present their works and talk with patrons. This is the fourth year UVSC has offered a BFA program. "The quality of the work continues con-tinues to rise each year," said Vincent. "We have high expectations ex-pectations for our students as we forge ahead as a university program."
