Membership to the center is $4 per person. As part of the membership, seniors can subscribe a year to the American Fork Citizen for $15. I Flu shot clinic There will be a health care fair , on Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with flu and pneumonia vaccines offered. The shots are free with some insurance policies, or have a minimal co-pay. co-pay. Without insurance, the shots cost $23 for flu and $35 for pneumonia. I Contact information The American Fork Senior Center is located on 54 E. Main St. and offers van pickup and dropping off for $1. Gloria Parker is the center secretary and the director is Ted Strong. Lehi Legal aid available BYU law students will be at the Lehi Senior Center on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to answer seniors' legal questions and help with legal needs such as wills. Blood Pressure Clinic There will be a free blood pressure clinic from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Oct. 18 at the center. I Flu Clinic There is a flu vaccine clinic scheduled for Oct. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost, for the flu vaccine is $23 and for the pneumonia vaccine is $35 without insurance. Foot Clinic Dr. Scott Humphreys will conduct a podiatry clinic on Oct. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. More info is available at the center. I Hearing Clinic Brent Fox is hosting his monthly hearing clinic on Oct. 26 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. More information is available at the center. i Hours The Lehi Senior Center is located at 123 N. Center St. and is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. except holidays. The center phone number is 768-7165 and the director is Jan Jonsson. The center provides social activities, exercise equipment and health clinics to community seniors. I Rides offered Roundtrip rides are offered to seniors for a minimal cost. Rides can be arranged at 427-2030. Pleasant Grove Vaccine time The Utah County Health Department is sponsoring its annual flu vaccine clinic. Flu and pneumonia vaccines will be given from 1-3 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Jacob Center. Seniors will need to bring their insurance cards. Medicare covers the cost of the vaccine. Several other insurances over the service at a discount. Without insurance the cost is $23 for the flu vaccine and $35 for the pneumonia vaccine. Sub-for-Santa The Jacob Center is hosting a Sub-for-Santa drive beginning immediately. Unwrapped gifts for all ages are needed. "New stuff, we don't want any junk," Ruth Hassenfritz, center director, said. Diabetes technology fair NORTH COUNTY STAFF On Tuesday the Diabetes Management Clinic at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center Cen-ter will be presenting a Diabetes Diabe-tes Technology Fair to share information on new products and services. The event is open to the public and will be at 7 p.m. in the Clark Auditorium at Utah Valley Regional Medical Medi-cal Center's Northwest Plaza building. The fair will provide education educa-tion about new insulins and insulin treatments, innovative insulin pump technologies including inhaled insulin, new non-insulin hormones and continuous glucose monitors.
