Come in and Chock Our Every Day Low IM Daltons Attend California Funeral Mr. and Mrs. Don Mack Dal-ton Dal-ton left Friday for Long Beach, California, ,where they attended attend-ed the funeral services, Monday Mon-day for Mr. Dalton's sister, Daphne Dalton Olson. Mrs. Olson died December 22 in a Long Beach hospital after af-ter a brief illness. She was 77. years of age. She was born in Manassa, Colo, and married M. Frank Olson, July 4, 1938 in Price,-Utah. Price,-Utah. A graduate of the LDS Hospital Hospi-tal School of Nursing, Salt Lake City, she had been superintendent superinten-dent of nurses, Salt Lake Co. Hospital during World War 1, and was the first superintendent superinten-dent of the Price, Utah Hospital. Hospi-tal. She is survived by three brothers, Bart W., Anaheim, California, Dr. Mark, Long Beach, and Don Mack, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. Fifth Ward MIA Plans New Years Eve Party A New Years Eve party including in-cluding dinner and dancing will be staged Saturday night, Dec. -31, according to Madge Peterson, Peter-son, YWMIA president The limited reservation affair will be held in the First-Fifth Ward recreation hall. Music for dancing will be furnished by a "live" orchestra and admission prices have been set at $5.00 per couple. Reservations may be made by calling 785-3481 or 785-3232. Early reservations are recommended, recom-mended, Mrs. Peterson said. Arrives in Viet Nam U.S.Army, Vietnam (AHTNC) Army Private First Class Ronald J. Atwood, 20, son of Mrs. Mary L. Powell, 205 South Avenue C, Tatum, N.M. arrived arri-ved in Viet Nam November 2 with his unit, the 1st Battalion of the 83rd Artillery. The unit is part of the 11th Field Force and was previously located at Ft. Sill, Okla. wood, Pleasant Grove, Utah, entered the Army in November ,1965. Beveridges Have Hawaiian Trip Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bever-idge Bever-idge returned early Sunday morning by Pan American to Los Angeles and on to Salt Lake City by Western Airlines after a two weeks vacation to th Hawaiian Islands. They report re-port a most delightful trip and found the islands much more beautiful than they expected. They visited and toured the following areas: The big island is-land of Hawaii, the volcano island. Spent Thanksgiving at the Sheraton Hotel on the island is-land of Maui, and Lahaina, the former capitol of the islands. Monday after Thanksgiving they took a flight to Hauai where they were guests at the Hauai Surf Hotel. They visited all points of interest and saw where South Pacific was filmed. film-ed. From Kauai they flew to Ohau and spent a week at the Reif Hotel in Honolulu, where they toured that island. Took the exciting, cruise to Pearl Harbor and visited the Battleship Battle-ship row with its historic ships, and saw the inspiring Arizona Memorial and the view, of "Honolulu and Pearl , Harbor from off shore, along with many more interesting places. They also visited Laie, and enjoyed a session at the LDS Temple. In a U-drive car visited the church college, ' and the Poly-, nesian Center. They spent a short time visiting the Chester Stones at their home. Continued Contin-ued around the island to Honolulu Hono-lulu to depart to the mainland and connection to Salt Lake City. (eh- Coach Jack Hill's Pleasant Grove High School Vikings' clipped the Wasatch High School Wasps 46-41 in a preseason pre-season basketball game last Friday night. The contest was played here, and was the opener open-er for1 both teams. The P.G. team had to come from behind in the final stanza to win. In fact, the first three quarters ended wtih Wasatch ahead, by 1, 1 and 4 points, respectively. re-spectively. At one time in the contest, the Wasps led by 8 points. The Vikings finally pulled pull-ed the game out of the fire, due to the defensive work of Funeral Services Held Monday for Mona Jean Lemon I Funeral services in memory of Mona Jean Frantz Lemon .were held Monday, Dec. 5 at II a.m. in the' Timpanogos Stake House, under the direction direc-tion of Wilford Giirr, counselor in the Grove Ward Bishopric. Mrs. Lemon died Friday in a Provo hospital of a heart ailment. ail-ment. She was 36 years of age. Speakers who paid a glowing glow-ing tribute to the young matron as a friend, neighbor, wife and mother, and as a church worker, work-er, were Bishop Thomas Lar-sen Lar-sen and President A. Theodore Tuttle. A life sketch was read by Bishop William Lemon, Jr. The Ward Choir sang "Sometime "Some-time We'll Understand," directed direc-ted by Dorothy Morehead, who also played the prelude and postlude. LaRue Gurr, Helen Hall and Mae Bezzant sang "Beyond the Sunset," also accompanied by Mrs. Morehead, and she also played an organ sclo. Family prayer, the invocation invoca-tion and the benediction were offered by Don Van Tassell, Billie T. Gardner, and Kent Anderson, An-derson, in. that order,-- - Pallbearers were Terry Mills, Val Hall, Bryan Powell, Lynn Bullock, Larry Guyman and Brent Atkinson. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Grove Ward . Relief Society. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where the grave ; was dedicated by Gene Gibbons. " Mrs.. Lemon was born June 14, 1930 in Kamas, a daughter of Laurence T. and Elsie Jane Gines Frantz. . She was educated in the Kamas schools and married Melvin G. Lemon September 26, 1946 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The couple had resided in Pleasant Grove since 1953. Surviving are her husband, two sons and two daughters, Rex, Kent, Beverly and Kathy Lemon, all of Pleasant Grove. Also surviving are her parents of Draper; two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Noell Wil-ma Wil-ma Vawdrey, and Mrs. Don (Rowine) Van Tassell and Norman Nor-man "Bud" Frantz, all of Draper; Dra-per; Morris Frantz, Granger and Reed Frantz, Kamas. Wasatch shot 7 of 14 for 50 per cent. Pleasant Grove did better, shooting 14 out of 22 for 68 per cent. In other games played last' weekend, involving Region IV teams, Olympus beat American Fork 82-75; Spanish Fork bested best-ed Clearfield, 64-57; Bingham " belted Lehi 72-46; Highland beat Orem 67-58.
