Call Dick 756-4670 or Pender 785-3319 Funeral Rites Held Monday for George McMillan Funeral services for George (Pug) McMillan, 77, resident of Pleasant Grove for many years, were held Monday at 1 p.m. In the Third-Sixth Ward Chapel, under the direction of Bishop Carl IUnRger of the LDS Third Ward. Bishop Ringger gave fitting introductory remarks. re-marks. Mr. McMillan died Wednesday, Wednes-day, Nov. 10 in the American Fork Hospital of a heart ailment. ail-ment. Speakers who paid memor ial tribute to the deceased as a husband, father and neighbor, were Max Sweat and Willis Banks. A life sketch was read by Harry McMillan. William E. Petersen sang the solo, "Let There Be Peace," accompanied by Maxine Fugal. "Hold Thou My Hand" was sung by Nancy Ekins with Mrs. Fugal at the piano. Mrs. Fugal also played the organ prelude and postlude. Family prayer was led by Kenneth McMillan, a son; Lee McMillan, a son, asked the invocation in-vocation and Elmo Murdock closed with prayer. The grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated by Francis Murdock. Pallbearers were Paul and Robert McMillan, Leon Sweat, Dan Jas person, Lee Carlson and Barney OToole. Flowers were cared for by the Third Ward Relief Society. Mr. McMillan was born Dec. 1, 1887 in Heber City to William and Annie Coleman McMillan. He married Pearl Sweat Feb. 3, 1920, in Duchesne. The marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Survivors include his widow, sons and . daughters, Lee, Or-em; Or-em; Mrs. William E. (Anna Rose) Harris, New Jersey; Mrs. Francis (Carol) Murdock, American Fork; Kenneth, Riv-erton; Riv-erton; 14 grandchildren; sisters, sis-ters, brother, Dan, Mrs. Annie Fisher, Mrs. Nora Read, Vilate McMillan, Mrs. Phyllis OToole, all Heber City. Funeral Held Last Saturday for Ralph Flanders Memorial services honoring Frederick Ralph Flanders, 66, were held Saturday at 12 noon in the Yirst-Fifth Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop Paul Blackhurst of the LDS First Ward. Bishop Blackhurst closed with remarks of solace and consolation. Mr. Flanders died Wednesday, Wednes-day, Nov. 10 in a Provo hospital hos-pital of complications following surgery. Speakers who eulogized the deceased for his life's accomplishments accom-plishments were Reed Reynolds, Reyn-olds, Lewis Harmer and Boyd Anderson. E. Kenneth Mott asked the invocation and benediction bene-diction was pronounced by Marion Mar-ion Ackerman. The grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated by President Boyd L. Fugal.' Serving as pallbearers were Kent, Ronald and Rickey Gurney, Gur-ney, Cal and Oden Flanders and Bob Phelps. The First Ward Relief Society cared for the flowers. Mr. Flanders was born June 10, 1889 in Diamond, Juab County, a son of Oden Goodman Good-man and Emma Cook Flanders. He married Rolena Ackerman on June 10, 1923 and the marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He had been a farmer thru-out thru-out his lifetime. Survivors include his widow, Pleasant Grove, one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Ireta) .Gurney, Lindon; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Emma Gates, Salt Lake City, Mrs. Ella Simpson, Murray. Bishop Ruelon Robblns of the Fifth Ward directed di-rected and spoke fitting words of consolation. Mrs. Miller was killed In an automobile accident near Heber Heb-er last Sunday. Mr. Miller, who was severely injured In the same accident, died Wednesday In a Heber hospital. Speaker, who eulogized the deceased, was Stanley D. Roberts. Rob-erts. A life sketch was read by Wayne McTague, who also spoke briefly. Dennis Sorenson sang "In the Garden," - accompanied by Joyce Broadhead, and Randy Richardson sang "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked," accompanied by Vickie Johnson. John-son.
