PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY HERE-BY GIVEN that on the 21st day of June, 1965, the Mayor and City, Council of Pleasant Grove City, Utah County, Utah, passed and adopted a resolution resolu-tion declaring the intention of creating in said City a Special Improvement District No. 1965-A 1965-A of Pleasant Grove City, Utah County, Utah. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN GIV-EN by the City Council of Pleasant Grove City, Utah, of its intention to make the hereinafter here-inafter described improvements within the said Special Improvement Im-provement District and of further fur-ther intention of said Council to levy special taxes as provided pro-vided in Article 7, Chapter 7, Title 10, Utah Code Annotated 1953, on the real estate lying within said District for the benefit of which such taxes are to be expanded in the making of such improvements. The improvements proposed to be made are to construct curb and gutter and do any necessary grading therefor, to construct concrete driveways from curb to property line, to construct necessary culverts, ' to construct drainage boxes, to. remove trees, concrete and other non-conforming improvements improve-ments and to grade, drain and do all other miscellaneous work to complete the improvements in a proper workmanlike manner. man-ner. BOUNDARY OF THE DISTRICT Beginning at the Monument at the intersection of 100 West Street and Center Street in Pleasant Grove, Utah County, Utah and running thence south 16 degrees 58 minutes west 200 feet; thence north approximat-ly approximat-ly 73 degrees 2 minutes west on a line parallel with the center cen-ter line of Center Street 1023 feet more or less to Third West Street; thence north 16 degrees 58 minutes east 400 feet; thence-south thence-south approximately 73 degrees 2 minutes east on a line parallel par-allel with the center line of Center Cen-ter Street 1420 feet more or less to Main Street; thence south 16 degrees 58 minutes west 200 feet more or less to the center line of Center Street; thence north along the center line of Center Street approximately approxi-mately 73 degrees 2 minutes west 380 feet more or less to the point of beginning. ESTIMATED COST The total estimated cost of the improvement is 13,665.00 of which the citv's portion is none. A special tax is to be levied against the property fronting or abutting upon or adjacent to the streets or alleys to be improved im-proved or which may be affected affect-ed by or specially benefited by any of such improvements. The estimated cost per front foot of abutting property is $1.50 for curb and gutter. The estimated cost per front foot stated above does not include in-clude the cost of driveways which will be installed as a part of the improvements only at the option and request of the property owner, made in writing writ-ing to the City Recorder on or before construction of such im provements is commenced. If so requested and installed, the cost will be assessed against the property benefited, in addition ad-dition to the assessment for other improvements. There shall be an allowance for corner lots to be apportioned apportion-ed as defined and provided for in the ordinance of Pleasant Grove City, Utah, and the laws of the State of Utah. The special taxes or assessments assess-ments may be paid by the abutting abut-ting property owners in ten (10) equal annual installments with interest on the unpaid balance P.G. Loses Game In Colt League, Now in Second The P.G. Colts lost another heartbreaker Friday night as they went down to defeat to the Orem Dodgers 9 to 4, after 3 extra innings. Dee Jarvis for Pleasant Grove and Dean Lett for the Dodgers both pitched ten innings in a game that gave the crowd their money's worth. Pleasant Grove remains in second place in the North Utah County Colt League. The two top teams will participate in the State Tournament to be held in Spanish Fork next month. Since P.G. is the defending de-fending state champion, it will be necessary for them to fin-. fin-. ish at least second in order to have the opportunity to defend their title. Tonight (Thursday) the Gro-vers Gro-vers travel to Orem to meet the third place Yankees in what should be a real battle for second sec-ond place honors. Last Friday, Gordon Jorgen-sen Jorgen-sen got a grand slam home run when the Cards and Phillies played. The Cards won 13 to 3. The Indians and Pirates were scoreless in the sixth Inning when Stephen Whitehead pulled a surprise bunt and scored a runner. Final score was 1 to 0 for the Pirates. Ronnie Holman, of the Giants got two home runs to defeat the Dodgers 8 to 2. The final standings will be in -the paper next week, when all games have been completed. Mr. and Mrs. Foutz are moving mov-ing from California to Washington Wash-ington state, where Mr. Foutz will work for the Bureau of Reclamation. The couple have spent the past month in Washington, Wash-ington, D.C. on a business and pleasure trip. Last Tuesday evening, a family dinner was enjoyed at the home of Mr. 'and Mrs. E. R. Allen, with Mr. and Mrs. Foutz and Vicki, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Allen and family. Mr. and Mrs. Holland Morford and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Foutz and baby daughter as guests. PL Grove Tigers Win Over Yanks The Pleasant Grove Tigers beat the Pleasant Grove Yanks in a well played ball game with a score of 4-1 last Saturday. The game was a pitchers duel with Tom Duvall striking out 15 batters and also hitting three of the five Tiger hits. Whiteley, the pitcher for the Yanks struck out 11 batters.
