With the acquisition of property prop-erty oo both tide of their preterit pret-erit site, Tri-City Motor Co., Ford agency in American Fork, has announced plans for a remodeling re-modeling program to be completed com-pleted during the current season. sea-son. Wendell Lambert, owner, said they have recently purchased pur-chased the American Fork Motel Mo-tel property adjacent to their business and including the area east as far as the brick motel office building. This property was obtained from A. Frank Galsford, and the motel is currently in the process of being torn down, Mr. Lambert said. Also purchased was the Grant property on which the Tri-City Used Car lot has bees located. This was owned by C. A. Grant. Plans call for a substantial remodeling of the present Tri-City Tri-City building and will Include the addition of an entrance to the building and department from Second East Mr. Lambert stated that the bridge abuttment located at the front of the building will be moved and curb and gutter put in instead. Senior Citizens Enjoy Visit to Eldred Center Twenty-seven Senior Citizens of the Pleasant Grove area en- -joyed a tour of the Eldred Center Cen-ter in Provo, Wednesday afternoon,, after-noon,, April 21. Mrs. Lucille Page, local public health nurse was in charge of arangements. The group was given a royal welcome when the bus arrived at the Center. A program followed fol-lowed with the official words of friendliness and greeting being be-ing spoken by Mrs. Ruth Aiken Nell, executive director of Eldred Eld-red Center. Variety entertaining entertain-ing numbers were presented by area high, school students. Prior to the program, a number num-ber of Pleasant Grove people:, enjoyed dancing to the music of .a live orchestra. A tour of the building and the. facilities . and opportunities at the Center Cen-ter completed the afternoon's activities. Another busload of local Sr. Citizens left yesterday at 2 p.m. for an afternoon of , activity at the Center. Mrs. Page said that if participation continues, trips will be made each Wednesday afternoon throughout the coming com-ing spring and summer. A token fee of 25 cents bus fare is charged each passenger ; for bus transportation. Th balance bal-ance of the cost is underwritten by Pleasant Grove City. Neighborhood Pprty Held Last Saturday The Neighborhood Party was held at the home of Bethel Allred on Saturday, April 24. A delicious full course meal was served bythe hostess. Mountain States Telephone Wesley Jense Back From Conner Meet Bishop Wesley Jense, local manager of the Utah Packers food processing company, has returned from Colorado Springs after attending a two-day convention con-vention of the Rocky Mountain Canners Association. The convention was held at the Broadmoor Hotel last Friday Fri-day and Saturday. It featured speakers of national repute, representing canning companies, compan-ies, equipment and can manufacturing manu-facturing industries and retail food dispensers. . Mr. Jense said that the general gen-eral outlook for the canning industry in-dustry is good. However, farmers far-mers in Southeastern Colorado are still plagued by drought. Also attending the convention from Utah were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Landes of Salt Lake City.
