Showers fell over the Pleasant Grove area every day during the seven-day weather period, ending at 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 12. There were two traces and five measureables. The total, when melted, was almost one and one-half inches of fresh, pure water. Last Sunday nights' storm was the heaviest. A good 12 inches of snow was measured on a table top in the garden of Calvin Walker, local U.S. Weather observer. The water content of this one was more than a half-inch. A few song birds were- seen in downtown Pleasant Grove during the snowy week. They were a sorry looking lot. Even the tough and hardy starlings seemed ready to creep into a gopher hole for the duration. - The trees,, lawns and shrubbery shrub-bery were white again early on Tuesday morning. Car tops of the unprotected vehicles sported sport-ed about 3 inches. The water content of this downfall will show in next week's report. At that, local residents are lucky. No tornados and no floods, to date. Despite the abnormal ab-normal April snows, most of us like it here. "Not much relief in sight, yet," said the weather prophets proph-ets Tuesday morning. He asked that the Council provide the study answers before he calls the special legislative session ses-sion in January. 2.
