The delicious dinner was served serv-ed buffet style in the Lindon, Ward Recreation Hall at noon. Ninety one family members, including parents, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren participated in the festivities of the day. After the dinner a program was presented by family members, mem-bers, basketball was enjoyed by the men and visiting by all. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Ed W. Osc arson and family from Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hansen and family of American Fork, Mrs. LaPreal Oscarson and family of Pleasant Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Walker and family of Moab, Mrs. Helen Walker and family of Lindon, Mr. and Mrs. , Platte Tucker and family of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Walker and family of Lindon, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hilton and family of Pleasant Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Nielsen and familv of Lindon. Ellis ' Funeral services for Lillian Hanson Ellis, 63, were held Saturday at 12 noon in the Manila Man-ila Ward Chapel under the direction dir-ection of Bishop Elliot C. Howe. Bishop Howe also spoke opening open-ing words of solace and encouragement encour-agement Speakers, who paid a tribute to the deceased ai a mother, friend, neighbor and church worker were O. Lament Brown and A. P. Warnlck. A biographical biograph-ical sketch was read by Bishop Andrew P. Nielsen. A male quartet, Ivan Mon-son, Mon-son, Wilford Monson, Robert T. Monson and Stanford Ekins sang "O My Father," and the closing selection. Lucy Haycock accompanied the singers and also played the prelude. Hal Haycock played an organ solo. Prayer at the mortuary was led by Alex Wadley, Harvey Smith asked the invocation and benediction was pronounced by Eldon Pack. The grave in the American Fork City Cemetery was dedicated by Elmer Hanson. Han-son. Pallbearers were Roy Ellis, Wayne Brady, Jack Brehe, Andrew An-drew Nielsen, Kent Nielsen and Lawrence Brehe. Flowers were cared for by the Manila Ward Relief Society. Mrs. Ellis died last Thursday in a Salt Lake City hospital of causes incident to a stroke. She was born Nov. 19, 1901 in American Fork, a daughter of Brigham and Josephine Young-berg Young-berg Hanson. She married Abraham Ab-raham Sheldon Ellis, Dec. 18, 1918.- The marriage was solemnized sol-emnized later in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Ellis died in September, Sep-tember, 1938. Mrs. Ellis was an active member of the IDS church and an employee of Ellison Cleaners Clean-ers at the time of her death. Survivors include a son, Roy S., Pleasant Grove; daughters, Mrs. Andrew P.-(Helen) Niel sen, Magna; Mrs. Wayne (Vir ginia) Brady, Salt Lake City; Mrs. E. L. (Elsie) Brehe, La Habra, Calif. There are 13 grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, broth-er, Earl Hanson, Granger and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Vera) Housel, Idaho Falls, Idaho. HOSPITAL NEWS Among babies born to parents in Pleasant Grove at the American Am-erican Fork Hospital during the past week were the following: A girl, born Nov. 24 to Larry and Linda Thornton Street A boy, born Nov. 25 to Deloy and Janet Dayton Tomlinson. Other patients at the hospital were Rubel Gutierrez, Dennis Hansen, Gordon Hullinger, A. C. Humphrey, Michael Monson, Clifton A. Doyle, Russell Jolley, Steven C. Walker, Craig K. Nielson, Charles Bruce Hullinger, Hullin-ger, Eugene Atkinson, and Mabel Ma-bel Thome. . ; Harris and family-of Lindon, -Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker and family of Lindon, Mr. and Mrs. - Royce Walker and Miss Judy Walker, who is attending the B YU, and two of her girl friends from there and Doyle Pine. ( CCND3 si Funeral Services Held Monday for Owen Halliday Funeral Services for Owen Halliday, 82, were held Monday, Mon-day, November 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the First-Fifth Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop Ruelon Robbins of the Fifth Ward. Bishop Robbins also gave closing remarks of sympathy sym-pathy and understanding. Mr. Halliday, a life-long resident resi-dent and farmer of Pleasant Grove, died Friday, November Novem-ber 27 in the American Fork Hospital of a heart attack. Speakers, who paid tribute to the long useful life and accomplishments ac-complishments of the deceased were, Dr. Grant Y. Anderson and Vilace RadmalL Jane Jackson read a life sketch of her grandfather. Iowa Hall, Maron Oveson, Wayne Peay and Don Woodbury Wood-bury sang the male quartet, "I Know That My Redeember lives," accompanied by Judy Jackson, who also played prelude pre-lude and postlude. Jeanne Halliday sang, "In the Garden," accompanied by Miss Jackson. Prayer at the mortuary was offered by Bishop Paul Black-hurst Black-hurst S. Alma Kirk asked the invocation and Reed Peterson pronounced the benediction. The grave in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated by David Blackhurst. Pallbearers were Lynn Halliday, Halli-day, Robert Halliday, Curtis A. Alverson, David Hone, Floyd Hone and Rulon Hone. The flowers were cared for by the Fifth Ward Relief Society. Mr. Halliday was born in Pleasant Grove, August 25, 1882 a son of William Henry and Mary Ellen Adamson Halliday. Halli-day. Educated in the local schools, he married Hannah Jane Bullock in Provo, June 10, 1908. The marriage was later solemnized ,.in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS - Church and a High Priest- at-the at-the tune of his passing. Survivors include his widow; sons and daughters, Mrs. Ella Jackson, Reed and Eugene, all of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Reed (Rhea) Robinson, Ethopia and Blaine, Boise, Idaho. There are eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving surviv-ing is a brother, Wrenard, American Fork. Neighborhood Club Has Recent Meeting The Neighborhood Club met recently at the home of Dru-cilla Dru-cilla Smith with Sadie Chandler as co-hostess. Plans were made for the Christmas party to be held Dec. 12 at the home of Deane Paulson.
