LATE SPRING, MORE SPEED No doubt the spring of 1964 will go into the record books as one of the latest In history. Most old timers will odmit that they never saw one like it. Usuolly by the end of the third week In April, trees and shrubs are in leaf, gardens up and growing and early flowers in full bloom. But not this year. All of this adds up to the fact that folks are considerably behind with their spring cleanup and beautification chorus. Conversely but, unfortunately, unwanted grass and unsightly un-sightly and noxious weeds along roads and sidewalks and vacant va-cant lots are getting a head start. Such being the case, Pleasant Grove's beautification program, pro-gram, if it has one, should be getting off the ground without further delay. "A lick in time, kills nine," to paraphrase an old adage, works wonders when the weeds ore tiny. Pleasant Grove is "The Most Beautifully Situated City in Utah County." The good Lord did all that. But we os residents often fail to fulfill the full measure of our Inheritance. A wave of community pride and improvement is evident in many cities of our state. Could it be that we are just a little sluggish in this respect? Let's get the program off the ground. Garden Club Has Annual Hatchery Tour. Sot for Representatives at M 3 b Qnd Game p f.
