Miss Devey Is a graduate of the American Fork High School Cadmus Club Hold Sweetheart Party In Manila Feb. 27 The Cadmus Club held its annual an-nual Sweetheart Party at the Manila Ward Church on Feb. 27. Husbands of the members were special guests. President Bethel All red was in charge of and conducted con-ducted the meeting. The Manila Ward Relief Society served a hot and delicious chicken dinner to all present. Tables were decorated in red and white. White mums tied with-red with-red bows and red net hearts. Leaflets were given to each one and during the dinner Jokes . were read aloud from them and the Club song was sung. After the dinner the group met in the Relief Society room where the children of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Stev-en L. Warnick presented a musical musi-cal program. Donna and Paul played a piano duet. Scott and Paul played a trumpet and clarinet clar-inet duet Then the four children, Scott Paul, Joan and Donna, sang "Singing Along," with Joan singing sing-ing the solo part They were accompanied ac-companied by their mother. An interesting and comical record rec-ord was played by Bethel Allied. Club members drew numbers for the floral centerpieces. North Utah County DUP Holds Meeting Friday, March J North Utah County DUP held their monthly meeting on Friday, March 1, at 2 p.m. in the Lindon Ward Church. Mrs. Osa Ferguson, captain of North Utah County, presided and conducted. Mrs. Ferguson informed the women wo-men that a bus would be chartered char-tered for the State Convention to be held In Salt Lake City next month. Tickets to ride the bus must be bought between now and the date of the convention and everyone interested is cordially invited to come and spend the day. Tickets for the bus may be obtained from the captains of the champs in Pleasant Grove, Lindon Lin-don or Manila; v ' . Mrs. Ferguson also encouraged the women to write the histories of our pioneers. Though there were more thaan 88,000 who came to Utah before May 10, 1869 (the day the railroad was completed) less than half that number of histories his-tories have been written. . Histories of localities, and buil-dings buil-dings such as the Old Mill, Theatre, Thea-tre, bridges, schools, the first fire department, the old Taberncale, and many others are waiting to be written by people in our town who remember and know the v facts.
