JANUARY 24, 1963 Published every Thursday of Pleasant Grove, Utah , Entered at the post office In Pleasant Grove, Utah, as second class mail matter under the oct of Congress of March 3, 1 879 r. GAMBLERS "TENDERHEARTED" i Local parents having difficulty In securing competent baby sitters ot reasonable rates should move to Las Vegas, Nevada. "It's all on the house down there." For some time, according to reports, Vegas police officers have had a gripe against parents who leave their children on the streets outside the gambling casinos while they (the parents) par-ents) play the machines, therein. . . According to Nevada law, youngsters are not permitted to enter the casinos, even "if accompanied by an adult." Neither are they allowed to engage in games of chance, thereby sup- porting Nevada's leading industry." s It seems that at times the love of the fathers and mothers) for the click of the dice and whir of the wheels exceeds their, affection for their small kith and kin. The police officers, have grown weary of toiling at baby sitting while the parents play. Also, they claim It isn't good for the kids. . . They have appealed ta the casino operators for help. And tenderhearted humanitarians, as the operators are, they have proffered to provide a nursery and experienced adult baby sitters, sit-ters, all for free. - ' " . Perhaps parents, who pork their offspring at the nursery, may be required to have their sales or loss slips "validated" before they can get their progeny out of hock. After all, things must be on the up and up, even in lias Vegas. WZ I'll lilllihnil iiitiJiiiinSiiIhn;! urn n iiiiim (llllMl't Mill! illli)! ill III It 1 Mill! FOR SALE -SU 5-3272.
