President A. Bent Peterson officiated. A wedding breakfast honoring the couple was hosted by the groom's parents that afternoon at the Sage Inn in Sprlngville. A large group of relatives and close friends were present. That evening the couple were feted at a beautifully appointed reception given by the bride's parents at the Ttmpanogoe Stake House in Pleasant Grove. , - The bride was lovely fat a floor length gown styled from poe di doi and sicenon lace surrounding a scoop neckline and down the front panel to the hemline. The long sleeves tapered to a wrist point, and the full skirt cascaded to a chapel train. The bridal bouquet bou-quet was a large purple orchid with white phelenopesis orchids in cascade. Her veil of imported bride's illusion was fastened to a fitted cap of lace over silk net trimmed with pearls and a bow of matching material to her dress Her attendants were Mrs. Dean Farr Richards, her slater, matron of honor, Paulette Johnson, sister of the groom, Linda Rohbock, Peggy Kirk, Mert Yearsley and Jane and Keren Fowlke, sisters of the bride. Their gowns were of purple delustered satin, with-satin with-satin shoes and small hats with veils to match. Their corsages were of purple and white carnations carna-tions with matching ribbon spray cascades. .'" For the occasion Mrs. Fowlke chose a soft grey blue lace over taffeta. Mrs. Johnson wore a blue silk. Corsages were white phelenopesis phelen-opesis orchids with white satin ribbon. Best man was Jay Johnson, AAUW Holds First Meeting of Year Last Wednesday The first meeting of the 1962-63 1962-63 season of AAUW- was held Wednesday evening at the home of A vera Williams, president ,of the Pleasant Grove unit. The members were entertained by a book report of 'Winter Wheat," given by Lacy White. At the entrance was spotlighted a large fountain and bird bath with a Roman bisque statue of a lady on top. Vines and grapes entwined the fountain. White wrought iron planter boxes box-es filled with gladioli, garden table and chairs completed the scene. Mrs. Lye an Johnson created creat-ed the arrangement, " The receiving line stood before a background of gathered white net with four tall and two short Roman pillars lighted from within with bouquets of white end orchid or-chid ghidlohs on top with streamers stream-ers of wide purple ribbon. Large philendrons climbed the pillars. The short pillars held Roman urns with white net draped between the pillars. Large baskets of glads decorated the hall. The four-tiered wedding cake with pillars between was enhanced enhanc-ed by a lighted glass table with a lace cloth over orchid taffeta. Circling the wedding cake were the serving tables attractively decorated with miniature brides and grooms beside small coaches. Assisting with serving were Alayne Fowlke, Sanrolane Larson, Lar-son, Susan Marrott, Edaleen Marrott, and Susan Durfey, with Mrs. Irene Bates as hostess. . At the gifts were Mrs. Jay Johnson, Mrs. Irwin W. Jeffery, Mrs. Walter C. Wilson, Mrs. Dee Freeman and Miss Mary Beck. At the guest book were Glenda Andrew, Mrs. Met Gish, and Mrs.-Fred Mrs.-Fred Paulson and gafts were ac- ' cepted by -William H. Fowlke and Rolan Johnson. Mrs. D. H. Fowlke artistically displayed the trousseau,, assisted by Alayne Fowlke. At a separate separ-ate table in the trousseau room, Mrs. Dean F. Richards arranged the shower gifts received from the bridal shower given in Provo by Le Ua Ogden, Peggy Kirk, and Linda Rohbock. The bride chose for a going away outfit a white wool three quarters coat with black dress, heels, purse and hat for a honeymoon honey-moon to Lake Tahoe.
