Junior High custodians, a former custodian, recreation leoders and city employees are oil evidently responsible for the pleasing result. The Junior High Campus, the areas odjocent to the buildings, build-ings, the tennis courts and the city park, all have been kept In ship-shape condition all summer. Small weeds have been stifled with spray or uprooted In their Infancy and the lawns have been kept fresh and green, except where the campus sprinkling system is inadequate. Perhaps next summer these good housekeeping practices could be extended to the Old City Hall lot, where the City Library is now located. Rotary power mowers being what they ore, next spring the area could be cleared of brush and rocks and a littla grass seed strewn about. The city owns plenty of irrigation water which is now rented rent-ed to farmers. A little could be diverted to the Old City Hall lot and the power mowers put to work. In a few weeks time the orea would be one of beauty and civic pride. Perhaps a start could be mode this fall. Lawn grass seed does well during the cool autumn days. '" Perhaps also, the Board of Education could improve the Junior High campus sprinkling system It has never been very ( satisfactory. -i Highlight of Utah Fireworks Display One of the most elaborate firework display! witnessed In this part of Che state trill be the high-light in front of the grandstand grand-stand on the evening of September Septem-ber th it the Utah State Fair.
