O SPAFFORD DAIRY CROVI AtVlfV KlASANf Parents Welcome Family Home with Brass Band, Party Many Utah "young marrieds" come home to visit parents and In-laws at Christmas time. That's just a run of the mill social item. But when they are met with a brass band, refreshments, and a hilarious welcome, that's something some-thing else again. A recent story in point is as follows: n Mrs. Betty Page Davis of Lexington, Lex-ington, Kentucky, wrote her mother, Mrs. J. Albert Page, of Pleasant Grove, that she, her husband hus-band and four young children were coming home for Christmas. Mrs. Page told the good news to Betty's father-in-law, Boyd C. Davis of Orem. Boyd was quite happy about the turn of events and was wondering what he could do to make the young family especially welcome. "Why dont you spread out the red carpet and get out the band," laughed Mrs. Page. . He did just that, all except the red carpet But cider and dough- nuts were substituted for that. Betty, her husband, Dr. Duane Davis and children, Mark, John, Steven and Ann Louise, arrived Friday at 10:15 p.m. at 'he Provo D & Ft G depot. On hand to meet them were the Pages, and Da vises, other relatives, rela-tives, some 25 members of the Orem High School Band, a large contingent of BYU students and numerous interested spectators. Santa Claus was the only VIP missing. "What's the band playing for, mama," said Betty's eldest, as they all clamored down the train steps. Betty didn't have the answer an-swer at the moment. Soon, how-" ever, it all began to become excitingly ex-citingly apparent. The young Davis family has been living in Lexington, whore Dr. Davis is serving in the Military Mili-tary Public Health Service hospital hos-pital there. He, is a graduate of University of Utah Medical School. In June, the family plans to move to Seattle, where Dr. Davis will begin private practice prac-tice in his special field of urology. 353 525353555 32 OVtV UTAH ' ' i t '1' Y j MSS JANICE GILLMAN On December 29, Janice Gill-man, Gill-man, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R.
