One of the great American composers Richard Rodgers will be guest conductor on the Nov. 12, Bell Telephone Hour at 9:00 p.m. on Channel 2. Ho will appear with a star-studded cast headed by Ray Bolger, as host, Howard Keel, Dolores Grey and Martha Wright. Other stars who will be featured fea-tured Include dancer Helen Gallagher, Galla-gher, singers Ron Husmann, Anita An-ita Darian, Donald Scott, and "The Sound of Music" singers, Donald Voorhees, and the Bell Orchestra will accompany the orchestra. . "The Music of Richard Rodgers" Rodg-ers" will recreat some of the great moments in his 35-year career. car-eer. The musical will start with Rodgers' first triumph a scene from the best of the Columbia University Variety shows, called "Fly With Me." . Now a part of American theater theat-er history, Rodgers and Hammer-stein Hammer-stein wrote "Oklahoma!" credited cred-ited for being the forerunner of the modern musical theater. With uncanny success, this prolific team found the formula for one musical after another. Some of their most widely known are "Carousel," "The King and " "South Pacific," and the current Broadway sensation, "The Sound of Music." Many of their hits were made Into movies and they found time to do the delightful film "State Fair," in 1945. Ray Bolger, universally acclaimed ac-claimed as one of the nation's greatest dancing comedians, will host "The Music of Richard Rodgers." Rod-gers."
