Mahlin Hansen has returned to Indianapolis, Indiana, after spending spend-ing three weeks here with relatives and friends. Mrs. Thomas L. Coddlngton will entertain the Sorosis club this afternoon after-noon at her home, It being the regular reg-ular meeting of the club. ' i The M. Men and Gleaner girls of the Fourth ward M. I. A. gave a novel party at the home of Miss Lois Greenwood last evening. The theme of the party was "hard times" and was reflected cleverly in the decorations, decora-tions, costumes of guests, games and luncheon. ' ; yr. and Mrs. A. A. Robinson and small daughter of Ogden, visited m American Fork with Mrs. Margaret Robinson last Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Carrie Thomas and daughter Hazel of Colorado, who have been visiting here, accompanied them back to Ogden for a visit. Junius West of the stake Y. M. M. I. A., superlntendency, will speak to the adults of the First ward M..L A. in their class next Tuesday night, commencing at 8:30 p. m., during the activity- period following the theology claas period. Chipman of this city at the Van Wagenen resi dence Monday afternoon. The en Joyable affair was in celebration of the birthday anniversary of ,. Mrs. Chipman and the guest list Included a number of her Intimate friends. Beautiful autumn flowers were used throughout the entertaining rooms. Mrs. Chipman;- who vacationed in Hawaii two years ago, gave an. interesting in-teresting talk on, her ' experiences there, alter which she displayed a number of souvenirs which she col lected during her stay on the is lands. Mrs. Sarah Lindsay, who also visited in Hawaii two years ago, showed , a group of excellent pictures of Hawaiian scenery and people. A humorous reading was given by Mrs. Fred Dixon. ' Social chat was a delightful fea ture and tasty refreshments were served. A large birthday cake was the center of attraction, this being cut and served by the honor guest.
