Mrs. F. Wright, of Oelwein, Iowa, is another one of the million women who have been restored to health by Lydia E. Pinkhara's Vegetable Compound. A Youngr Xew York Lady Tells . of a Wonderful Cure : " My trouble was with the ovaries ; I am tall, and the doctor said I grew too fast for my strength. I suffered dreadfully from inflammation and doctored continually, but got no help-I help-I suffered from terrible dragging ser sations with the most awful pains low down in the side and pains in the back, and the most agonizing' headaches. No one knows what I endured. Often I was sick to the stomach, and every little while I would be too sick to go to work, for three or four days ; I work in a large store, and I suppose standing stand-ing on my feet all day made me worse. "At the suggestion of a friend of my mother's I began to take Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound, Com-pound, and it is simply wonderful. I felt better after the first two or three doses ; it seemed as thoufrh a weight was taken off my shoulders ; I continued con-tinued its use until now I can truthfully truth-fully say I am entirely cured. Young girls who are always paying doctor's bills without getting any help as I did, ought to take your medicine. It costs so much less, and it is sure to cure them. Afterward he leaned back In his chair and produced pro-duced one of the 6hort, black cigars for which he is known to have a strong predilection. Fingering it lovingly, he said: "You might not believe it, but I was a student stu-dent once. I remember one day during dur-ing my senior year in 1860, while I wai walking home from college, I wai joined by Prof. Anton, who was then teaching Greek at Columbia. Th Professor walked by my side for some time in silence. Suddenly turning, he demanded in his sternest voice: 'Do you smoke, Van Arminge?' I was forced to admit that I did Indulge oo casionally. He glared at me for a mo ment and then said gruffly: 'Glad te know it. Best thing you ever did Don't let me ever hear of your stop ping it. Good afternoon.' " Philadelphia Philadel-phia Ledger. PRIVILEGES OF A HUSBAND. Well Defined by Supreme Court of Minnesota. The Supreme Court of Minnesota has decided that a man has a right to beat his wife, in moderation, if he has "good reason to believe that she has been unfaithful." He needn't know it, you know, so long as he believes it, with good reason. - If he finds subsequently subse-quently that he was mistaken, and that his reason, while good, was not all sufficing, he is expected to apologize apolo-gize like a gentleman. The court does not say this, but it doubtless assumes as-sumes that a gentleman would apologize apolo-gize for causing unnecessary pain and mortification. Should he not apologize apolo-gize the lady is fairly entitled to a complaint of cruelty, leading up to a possible action for divorce. These judicial ju-dicial utterances make the law ver7 plain in Minnesota, and smootL the way to complete understanding, of marital duties. Roswell Field in Jhi-cago Jhi-cago Evening Post.
