Loua Clark, daughter of E. Z and Mary Clark, died at Nephi H. Packard's, Pack-ard's, Saturday night from nervous prostration. The funeral services were held at the L. D. S. meeting house Monday at 2 p. in. .-The young lady was 23 years of age. Those who attended the dedicatory services at the Jefferson school Monday Mon-day night, expressed themselves much pleased with the program. There was a large attendance ar1 much hearty approval shown for the work of the trustees, in providing the house. The Logan Sugar factory is turning out an average of 1,000 sacks of sugar a day, and notwithstanding the large quantity of beets consumed daily the receipts are so heavy that every avail able foot of storage room is occupied. The season's crop in the valley was estimated at 60,000 tons, but indications indica-tions now are that it will not exceed 40.000 tons. By the way, how would it do, when we build another school house, to name it after one of our old citizens? One of them taught the first school in the state, another built two school houses with his own means, before the day of the distiict schools. Johnsou, president of the club, called order and stated the object of the meeting, which was to obtain means for the purpose of adding add-ing another cabinet of books to the tareling library.
