Cashville Times, Better Than Pills The question has been asked, "In what way are Chamberlain's Stomach and Liver Tablets superior to pills?"' Our answer is: They are easier and amre-preaaut to take, more mild and trentle in effect and more reliable rs they can always be depended upon. Then they cleanse and invigorate the stomach and leave the bowels in a natural condition, while pills are more harsh in effect and their use is often followed by constipation. The cocoanuts before being shipped here are taken out of the tough outside husk. When they reach the factory they have only the thin, hard inner shell. The shells are cut off with hatchets, and one man can shell with a hatchet from 3C0 to 1,200 per day, according to his skill. From the husking room the nuts go to the peelers, where the thin skin which is between the white meat and the shell is shaved off. Two shavers can' handle as many nuts as one. huller can open. As the nuts are peeled they are thrown into a band carrier and are. taken up and dropped mechanically into a shredder, shred-der, where the meat is ground up. The shredded cocoanuts drop to a long metal met-al table in a room which is heated to a temperature of about 130 degrees, where they are cured for about fourteen four-teen hours. A cooling room is next utilized, and there the shredded substance sub-stance is cooled, ready for packiEg into tubes In which it is shipped. The capacity ca-pacity of a factory where twenty-five persons are employed is 8,000 nuts per day. Baltimore Sun. A VALUABLE MEDICINE For Coughs and Colds in Children. "It has betn some two years since the City Dispensary Dispen-sary first called my attention to this valuable medicine and I have repeatedly repeat-edly used it and it4 has always been beneficial. It has cured me quickly of all chest colds. It is especially effective eff-ective for children and seldom takes more than one bottle to cure them of hoarseness. I have persuaded many to try this valuable medicine, and they are all as well pleased ns myself over the results." For sale by the Springville Drug Store. The United States Postoffice Department Depart-ment recognizes only the term "Hawaii" "Ha-waii" as being the official designation for the Hawaiian Islands. X "Territory of .Hawaii," 'T. H.," or "Haw." have no place in the official abbreviations for the new territory. When the islands is-lands became a territory of the United States considerable speculation was had as to how letter writers abroad should address their friends here, and many believed that "T. H." would about hit the mark. Chief Clerk Ke-nake Ke-nake states that when ordeng stationery sta-tionery from Washington he made out the f.'rms, intencMag to use the. letters "T. H.," but the stationery came back with the word "Hawaii" printed thereon. there-on. Rubber stamps also come to his office with this word, and thus it has become recognized in the business and official clrc'es on the mainland to write the word "Hawaii" in full on envelopes envel-opes for the islands. The word "Hawaii" "Ha-waii" does not mean the Island of Hawaii Ha-waii in this sense. Letters addressed to Hilo, Hawaii, or Mahukona, Hawaii, do not specifically designate the Island of Hawaii, but come into the postoffice under the same terms as letters addressed ad-dressed to Honolulu, Hawaii. There were formerly two Waimeas, one on Hawaii and one on Kauai. . .The .Wai-mea .Wai-mea on the Island of Hawaii has' been changed to Kamuela, and the only Waimea now in existence, so far as the postoffice is concerned, is that on Kauai. The chancellor of the exchequer has acknowledged the receipt of 500 in notes as conscience money.' Is the instinct in-stinct to get the better of the tax collector col-lector stronger than of old, or is the conscience more tender? This source of income now amounts to some thousands thou-sands per annum; a little over a hundred hun-dred years ago it was unknown. The first sum noticed was on March 30, 1879, when 350 was carried to the public account in consequence of a note received by the chancellor. The writer with troubled ' soul implored him, "as an honest man, to consider the money the property of the nation, and to be so just as to apply it to the use of the state in such manner that the nation may not suffer by its having hav-ing been detained, and thus to ease the conscience of an honest man." The chancellor of to-day gets more money, but probably fewer such quaint, earnest ear-nest letters. London Chronicle. Georgia . Pension Claims.
