Sims, of "Entertaining in the Country," in the July Ladies' Home Journal. "Whenever a farming community realize that in themselves lie the means of educatiug their sons and daughters to love the farm and the farm home, and that because one does not have the privileges of the town or large city there is no reason why he should stagnate either mentally or socially, they will have solved the problem of how to live happily aDd contentedly on a farm. A member of a certain firm appeared ap-peared in a law court with a complaint com-plaint that his partner in business would sell goods at less than cost price, and asked to have the offending partner restrained by injunction. The defendant utterly denied the charge, and the case adjourned for a fortnight. As the plaintiff went out of court, he exclaimed in a tragic tone; "Then the sacrifice must still goon!" This was noised abroad, aud as a result the shop was besieged by customers. There the case ended, for at the end of the fortnight the plaintiff plain-tiff failed to "tppear in court, having accomplished the purpose the ad-vertisment ad-vertisment be had in viev.
