Show 10 SPRINGVILLE HERALD Thursday, September 11, 2008 1 4 - The Utah Valley Home Builders Association will blitz build a Habitat for Humanity county home in five days in Springville as a part of the National Home Builders Blitz 2008. The six-bedroom, two-story home will be built from j Sept. 15 to Sept. 20 with the Reina Family, and will be located at 661 W. 150 North in Springville. This is the first Utah County Habitat home to be built in Springville and the eighth Habitat home that the UVHBA has helped to build in the county. A kickoff party is planned for Monday, Sept. 15, at 8 a.m. at the home site. Habitat for Humanity of Utah County recently broke ground on its first ever homeowner-sponsored home. The Sorensen family home, located in northwest Provo, will be most constructed with funds generated from monthly mortgage payments pay-ments currently being made to the local Habitat affiliate by 29 past home recipients-a milestone for the Utah Valley affordable housing organization. Members of the YCC attended the dedication. ' .ff y , innnJ l Members of the Springville Youth City Council (YCC) attended the dedication ceremony for the Utah Law Enforcement Memorial on the grounds of the capitol in Salt Lake City, Saturday, September 6. The monument was constructed to ensure that officers killed in the line of duty were remembered and honored by members of the communities in which they served.
