He will speak in church on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Hobble Creek Fifth Ward, 1450 E. 900 South, Springville. Leland Blake Gammell, son of Ray and Lori Gammell of Mapleton, has been called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Manchester, New Hampshire. He will speak in church on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the Mapleton 8th Ward, 1215 N. 1000 West (The Red Church), Mapleton. He will enter the MTC on Sept. 17. Scott Spencer Bakowski, son of Mark and Terri Bakowski of Springville, has returned home after serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He will speak in church on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at 9 a.m. in the Spring Creek Second Ward, 350 N. 400 East, Springville. Kody Douglas Hansen, son of Gary Hansen and Lisa Furr, has been called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Roseville, California. He will speak in the Mapleton 8th Ward, 1215 N. 1000 West, Mapleton, on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at 1 p.m. He will enter the MTC Sept. 24. Christopher Reeve Tyler J. Park, son of Reed and Julie Park of Springville and a member of Troop 639, has earned his Eagle Scout Award. He will receive it at a court-of-honor on Wednesday, Sept 17, 2008. For his Eagle project he organized the painting of lines for the basketball courts, hopscotch and four square on the playground at Brookside Elementary School. Tyler thanks his scout leaders for their guidance and support, especially Merrill Chipman and Robert Wolf. A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
