Coach Warner is excited for the upcoming game on Tuesday, Jan. 22, against Timpview because both of the teams are undefeated, and the game will be a challenge chal-lenge for the girls. Bryce Frisby and Austin Moss SHS STAFF WRITERS Friday night the Lady Red Devils clashed with Tooele for an exciting win, 61-51, causing the Lady Devils to still be undefeated un-defeated in region. Success Suc-cess appears to be the shortest and consistent definition of this year's SHS girls basketball team. "All our set objectives and will power have led , us to this position in district. dis-trict. More and more challenges chal-lenges seem to keep rising ris-ing up, but the girls keep prevailing in all their triumphs.'' tri-umphs.'' said Coach War ner about the Sophomore, . Carolyn and Michael Salazar SHS STAFF WRITERS Coming off the big win Tuesday against Orem, the boy's basketball squad kept it rolling against Tooele on Friday night. From the very beginning the Red Devils proved to be too much for the visiting visit-ing herd, blowing them out in the end 71 to 39. In addition to the balanced bal-anced scoring attack, the boys focused on making a strong defensive stand. They held Tooele to 19 first half points and 20 second half points, frustrating any sort of momentum that the visitors tried to establish. Springville for the second consecutive game had four players scoring in double figures including Salazar with 16, Brad Kohler with 12, and Dan Foster and Kurt Averett each chipped in 10. With the win, Springville has moved into a tie with Timpview for second in region. w a w AT SDTI1 AUTO DOICiALSAOE hi"". .. ft.? ivfti 3, ' mmm uwhwiiluiI Make your best deal at Smith Auto and get $4500 in additional Customer Cash!
