This is a unique opportunity that helps the students learn to work with each other while creating long lasting memories. This free play will be held tonight, Thursday, Dec. 13, in the SHS auditorium. Red Devils suffer a close loss to the Dons A. Carolyn Morin SHS STAFF WRITER The Varsity Boys Basketball Bas-ketball home game hosting host-ing the Spanish Fork Dons will be remembered for a long time. One of the fans that came a little late to the game and said this, "i could feel a wave hit me when I walked into the gym, the air was so tense, I could tell from the first moment I walked in that it was a good game. " The game was certainly that; from the get go there never was much of a lead for either team. Throughout Through-out the game, it was neck and neck competition. In the last two seconds, it came down to a tie and the Dons had the ball out of bounds. They threw it in, and a three went up. The Dons missed, but got the rebound and quickly threw up another layup. After sitting on the rim for what seemed minutes, the ball rolled in. The ref called it in, even though there has been some doubt as to whether the ball was shot before or after the buzzer went off. Lady Red Devils leave their mark on the court Lauren Smith SHS STAFF WRITER Although the Boys' close game against Spanish Fork dampened Springville's spirits on Tuesday evening, eve-ning, the Girls' team was celebrating a victory. The Lady Red Devils played a very good game and worked the Dons enough to pull out another win. Sophomore Sadie Clements Clem-ents lead the scoring with 20 points to add to the total and helped lead the Lady Red Devils to victory. "We worked really well as a team, other players really stepped up... we shared the ball and had a very unselfish game," said Clements about Tuesday's game. The final score of the game was 56 - 44. The Red Devils' are 3 - 0 this season and we have high hopes for them to continue their winning streak!
