Gill of the engagement en-gagement of their daughter, Tesa A. Bird, to McKinley R. Smith, son of Charles and Gari Lafferty. The couple plans to be married mar-ried on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006. A reception will be held in their honor at Wadley Farms, 35 E. 400 North, Lin-don, Lin-don, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The couple are registered at Target and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Krista Whitelock, Jordan Schmidt to marry Saturday Todd and Cheryl Whitelock of Spring-ville, Spring-ville, Utah, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Krista, to Jordan Perry Schmidt, son of Anthony and Paige Schmidt of Lehi. The couple plans to be married on Saturday, Sat-urday, Sept. 9, 2006. The newlyweds will make their home in Provo. Gene and Carma Mang-um Mang-um will celebrate their fiftieth fifti-eth wedding anniversary on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006. The couple was married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and has lived in Springville for over 25 years. They will be honored at an open house hosted by their six children and their families. Members of the community commu-nity are invited to stop by the LDS Stake Center located locat-ed at 698 Kolob Circle (245 S. 600 East), Springville, on Saturday, Sept. 9, between 6 , and 8 p.m. Please come and share this special day with Gene and Carma. They had three children: the late infant son James Damico and two daughters, the late Karen Damico and Bonnie (Fred) Sorensen. She has 13 grandchildren many great-grandchildren. Women in Leadership to meet September L. . "Sugar and spice and everything nice." Maybe not. Dr. Clyde C. Robinson will be the guest speaker for the September meeting of Women in Leadership. His topic will be "Mean Girls in the Sandbox." He will also address Cyber Bullying. . The meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Provo Marriott, 101 W. 100 North, and will begin with networking at 11:30 a.m. with the general meeting at noon. Dr. Robinson is an Associate Professor of Human Development at BYU where he has been teaching and doing research since 1990. His work received national nation-al attention when he was interviewed by Katie Couric on the NBC Today Show in May, 2006. On the evening eve-ning of September 14, Dianne Sawyer's Primetime interview in-terview with Dr. Robinson concerning cyber bullying will air.
