Taylor of Springville, Utah, wife of the late Robert W. Taylor, of the engagement of their daughter, Mary Jane, to Jon T. Hadley, son of Jay Rodney and Carol B. Hadley of Bountiful. The couple plans to be married on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 in the Bountiful LDS Temple. They will celebrate their marriage that evening at the Springville Museum of Art from 7 to 9 p.m. Mary graduated from Springville High School and, upon completion of her college degree, began working with the Ensign -Bickford Company. Jon served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sacramento, Sacra-mento, California. A lifelong BYU fan, he graduated from the University of Utah and Ik liv-'i -Yr . JkAt.' ?v;- :; - Villi If r-- Matthew and his mother, Kjirstin Youngberg put the final touches on the tree they will donate to the Festival of Trees, an annual fundraiser for the Primary Children's Child-ren's Hospital. They have donated five trees to the festival in honor of Matthew's twin, Benjamin, who died of SIDS in 1991. The annual Festival of Trees to benefit the Primary Children's Medical Center will be held this year Dec. 3-6 at the South Town Exposition Center in Salt Lake. Tree names and sponsor information must be given months in advance for signs, which are all hand-lettered hand-lettered by artist's donating their time and talents. "I was expecting a Blue Spruce when I named the tree. Imagine my surprise when I dragged the box out of the attic and pulled out this white creation! As I got the decorations, Matthew stopped me," said Kjirstin Youngberg of Mapleton, who has decorated and donated five trees for Primary Children's Child-ren's Hospital. "Just use the red ones," he said. "It looks best that way-like you could eat it. " "He was right," she said. "I only wish I'd called it ' Peppermint Surprise! Kjirstin, a freelance photojournalist wrote a book about the family's famil-y's experience called, "The Promised Twin" published by Granite Books.
