Any student, male or female, who will be in grades 9-12 for the 2001-2002 school year may participate in the qualifying event if they have no attendance deficiencies. In order to qualify to try out, golfers need to finish nine holes at the Hobble Creek Golf Course with a score of 50 or lower any day between July 26 and August 7. Young men must play from the blue tees; young women may play from the red tees. Once a Buck deer permits go on sale July 26 A total of 382 Central Region permits will be among the general gener-al buck deer hunting permits available for purchase at the Division of Wildlife Resources Internet web site and its six offices beginning at 6 a.m. on July 26. SHS girls soccer tryouts Tryouts for the Springville High School girls soccer teams will begin on Mon., July 30, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Springville Spring-ville High School soccer field. Tryouts will be for the Varsity, Junior Varsity and FreshmenSophomore Fresh-menSophomore teams. All 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade girls are invited to attend. The tryouts will last two or three days. Players trying out should wear shin guards and bring their own water. Those who make the team will begin practice the next day and will also be expected to have a physical exam completed and turned in by Fri., Aug. 3.
