Mar. 20, the might Red Devil Soccer Team took on the American Fork Cavemen. Gamaliel Meza scored first off an assist from Adam Perry. Gamaliel Gama-liel scored again with an unassisted unassist-ed goal. Chad Poulson scored next off an assist from Brad Silvey. It was if ' I-' Chris Baerhold's turn to put the ball in the net. J V v"1'- v-yi Dedicated Hunter Dan"l a course Marc Killpack Chad Poulson Hunter Education class starts Apr. 9 April 9. 10. 12. 16, 17, 19, 2001 mark the dates of the next hunter education class to be offered in Springville. It will be held in the High School Little Theater beginning at 7 thru 9:30 p.m. each night. The written test will be given on Thur., Apr. 19, during the scheduled test time. The cost is $12. Your Social Security Number is needed to complete your blue, card, '.- A-notebook A-notebook and penpencil is needed need-ed for the class. This $12 includes in-cludes all expenses. A shooting schedule will also be posted. Students will need to arrange their time to complete their shooting training and shooting shoot-ing test. . Students must pass the following: follow-ing: at least 12 hours in class time; a test score of 75; A shooting score of 150 points which include targets from the prone, kneeling and standing positions. The class will be directed by . Karl . Collin Singleton, son of Richard and Karin Singleton, signed a letter of intent to McPherson College in Kansas. Collin played offensive guard at SHS this past season. Another education course is being offered for buck deer hunters hunt-ers interested in joining Utah's Dedicated Hunter program. Hunters who have already completed the course are reminded remind-ed that their fees to join the program are due soon. A course will be held on March 26, 7 p.m., Provo City Council Chambers, 350 W. Cen- ter, Provo. Hunters are reminded that they must attend a course, and pay their registration fees, no later than March 30. Division of Wildlife Resources Resourc-es offices are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays with the exception of the Salt Lake City office, which opens at 7:30 a.m. "The Dedicated Hunter program pro-gram was started in 1995 to allow buck deer hunters more chances to hunt, in return for volunteer work that benefits Utah's wildlife," said Jo Proctor, coordinator of volunteers for the Division of Wildlife Resources. 3 Hunters who join the program are allowed to hunt all three general buck deer seasons (archery, (ar-chery, muzzleloader and rifle) in , the general season region of their choice. Hunters join the program0-for program0-for a three-year period and may1 ' not take more than two buck deer' during that time. The two buck deer may not be taken in the t same year. " . To join the program, hunters must pay the following fees, ; which includes their buck deert permit each year: Adult, $180 resident, $867 nonresident; Youth (14-17 years old), $105 resident, $634 nonresident. Lifetime License Li-cense Holders, Adult, $75; Youth (14-17 years old), $37.50. Dedicated hunters also must do the following: provide eight hours of volunteer service each year they're in the program; attend one Regional Advisory Council meeting during the three year period; attend an education course before joining the program and then attend an additional course . before completing the program. The education course explains the program in detail and teaches hunter ethics and wildlife management principles. More information about the Dedicated Hunter program is available on pages 24-27 of the 2001 Utah Big Game Proclamation. Proclama-tion. Ali's Dynamic Dance Compa ny competed in a competition at the Tuacahn Center in St. George last week. They came home with seven first place awards, two second place and two third place.
