"Taxpayers contributing to the Utah nongame wildlife fund, on line 27 of the Utah State tax form," will help provide the money mon-ey necessary to continue the preservation of Utah's nongame wildlife," said Dana Dolsen, planner for the Division of Wildlife Wild-life Resources. "AH donations go directly to Utah's nongame wildlife wild-life programs." Most of the species that benefit bene-fit from these funds are listed by federal or state agencies as threatened threat-ened or endangered. Other wildlife wild-life that benefit may include species the Division of Wildlife Resources has identified as sensitive, sensi-tive, or at-risK. With only a few exceptions (such as jackrabbits and carp) nongame species are not sought by hunters and anglers. Some of Utah's nongame wildlife that have benefitted from the contributions contri-butions include the peregrine falcon, desert tortoise and black-footed black-footed ferret. Donations to the Utah Non-game Non-game Wildlife Fund are used to study nongame populations, to protect and restore nongame habitats, to develop recovery programs and to provide information informa-tion to the public on the progress and condition of nongame wildlife. wild-life.
