Show CITY COUNCIL The City Council met at the City Hall for a regular meeting Wednesday Wednes-day night at 6 p.m. according to Mrs. Mae Stillman recorder. Miscellaneous bills amounting to $278.72 and balance of regular payroll for February totaling $1171.47 were approved for payment. pay-ment. The council also assigned and approved individual responsibilities as follows: Councilman F. J. Quinn, in charge of police department; Councilman Ross M. Cushing, in charge of streets; Councilman Pete Dimas, in charge of waste collection; collec-tion; Councilman Lawrence West, in charge of water department; Councilman Verl Peterson, in charge of buildings and playgrounds and Mayor Joe Dispenza, over all departments. It was also reported that a county board of health, to be known as the Salt Lake County Board of Health, is being formed, and that the Bingham Bing-ham City Council has decided to be a part of this new board. This board will function in all cities and towns inside of Salt Lake County outside of Salt Lake City, that want it, it was reported. Among items to be taken care of by this board are inspections in-spections of eating and drinking establishments, 'sanitation inspection, inspec-tion, inspection of schools, convalescent conva-lescent homes, day care nurseries, water systems, swimming pools and sewage, etc. |
