Boweri Feme England Davis Clegg Bowen, 88, died Monday, Jury 13, 1998 at her home in Spanish Fork, Utah from heart failure. ' Feme was bom August 25, 1909 in Payson, Utah to Jessie ' Carlyle Davis and Sarah Jane England. She married mar-ried James R. Clegg on August 23, 1928 in Preston, Idaho. He died October 30, 1945. She then married ' William Morgan Bowen on September Sep-tember 22, 1946 in Spanish Fork, Utah. They were sealed in the LDS temple on April 27, 1955. Bill died on December De-cember 26, 1976 in their, home injSpanish Fork. Feme was an active member of the community communi-ty and church. She was one of the first PTA Presidents at the Brock-bank Brock-bank School when it was first built. She was also a member of the Daughters Daugh-ters of the Utah Pioneers, Pio-neers, Camp Spanish Fork. She was a' member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Hie Spanish Span-ish Fork Firemen Auxiliary. Auxil-iary. She served as one of the Utah State Presidents Presi-dents of the Fireladies Auxiliary. She was bom April 7, 1931 in Bennett, Uintah, Utah to Joseph Charles and Delia Abpl-analp Abpl-analp Price. Denna married Lee W. Ralphs on August 16, 1948 and their marriage was solemnized sol-emnized in the Salt Lake Temple on December 15, 1948. She was the mother of four children: Douglas L (Kristine Pierce) of American Fork; Charalene (John Mark) Whitehead of Mona; David of Cincinnati, Cincin-nati, Ohio; and Robert of Salt Lake, she leaves behind 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. She is survived by her husband; children; her sister, Alice (Ray) Jenkins; and her brother, John (Frances) (Fran-ces) Price. Donna wa an active member of the LDS Church and served throughout thro-ughout her life in many callings with diligence and love, including Stake Primary President, Stake Relief Society Presidency Presiden-cy and two missions. The first was as a local employment specialist and the second was in the Philippines which included service in the - Ira M. Jensen Ira Milford Jensen Ira Milford Jensen of Springville, Utah passed away July 8, 1998, following surgery at the Timpanogos Medical Center in Orem. He was born October 2, 1908 in Grover, Wyoming. He was the son of James Jensen Jr. and Hannah Eliza Hepworth. His early years were spent in Metropolis, Nevada where he attended school and where he married Ellen Hyde June 12, 1929 she preceded him in death in 1980. In 1934, he took his bride and two small children to Gridley, California where a third child was bom. Ira worked in agriculture and then learned several building trades. He eventually became a building contractor and built many nice homes in the Gridley area. In 1969, Ira and Ellen moved to Springville where he built a nice home on East Center Street. He became a stalwart in his ward and made many friends. The quality that best defines Ira's life was manifest in the tender, gentle, loving care he gave Elen during their life together. Ellen became an invalid through accidents and illness 's to the point were Ira became her main caretaker. He dedicated himself to this with a love and determination determi-nation that influenced his children and grandchildren grandchil-dren in how spouses should care for and nurture one another., He was a marvelous example exam-ple to all who witnessed his dedication to Ellen. Ira was equally dedicated to the LDS , church. During his lifetime life-time he served in many teaching and leadership positions. His faith was strong and he lived with an assurance that he would have a sweet reunion with Ellen in the next life. That reunion has now taken place. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley (Chan) Hansen of Sacramento; sons; Hal M. Jensen (Beverly) of Springville and Steven H. Jensen (LaRee) of Orem; eleven grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were held Monday, July 13, in Springville. He was bom November 18, 1912 in Hinckley, Utah, to Jacob and Permelia Greener Felix. Ivn attended schools in Leamington and Springville, Spri-ngville, graduating from Springville High School. He received his Eagle Scout Badge from President Presi-dent George Albert Smith. Ivan served as a Scout Master for many years. He served in the u?.Anuntii,1l941v?e retired form the Union Pacific Railroad after 34 years. Ivan married Gladys Thompson October 1, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in January 1953. He married Juanita Barney Alvey in July 1953. They have lived in Springville Spri-ngville their entire marriage, mar-riage, except the last 10 winters in Overton, Nevada. They served an LDS mission in Winnipeg, Winni-peg, Canada. Ivan also served in several positions posi-tions in his ward as well as being a High Priest. Ivan is survived by his wife, Juanita; children: chil-dren: James (Monta) Felix of EstesPark, CO; Karl (Merlene) Felix of Highland; Gordon (Jo-Ann) (Jo-Ann) Felix of West Jordan; and Beth (Tommy) (Tom-my) George of Orem; Don and Goldie Curtis Don & Goldie Curtis Don E. Curtis, age 78, and his wife Goldie Marie Harris Curtis, age 74, of Springville, died Tuesday, July 7, 1998, from injuries received in a traffic accident in Spanish Fork Canyon. Don was bom December 13, 1919, in Hiawatha, Carbon County, to Edward Ed-ward J. and Mable Irene Nelson Curtis. Goldie was born September 16, 1923, in Fremont, Nebraska, Ne-braska, to John Franklin and Mary E. Nevins Harris. They were married mar-ried January 4, 1942 in Stockton, California, the marriage was later solemnized sol-emnized in the Provo LDS Temple. He attended his early schooling in Spring -Canyon, Carbon County. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War n, serving in Trinidad. Trini-dad. He worked for his brother, Jack, in the service station business and later for Pittsburgh Des Moines Steel as a crain operator, where he retired after 27 years. He had a deep love for animals. He had a deep love for family togetherness together-ness and had a great love for the outdoors and many of the activities associated with it. Family Fami-ly was always his priority- Goldie attended her early schooling in Nebraska Ne-braska and California. She graduated from high school in Stockton, California.
