Bingham, ; son of Norman and Marsha Bingham of Ma- . pleton. The couple plans to be married on Saturday, Satur-day, May 30, 1998 at the Mapleton White Church by LDS Bishop Don Bone. A reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Mapleton White Church courtyard. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. The bride-to-be will graduate from Springville High School May 29. She attends Von Curtis ' jcademy and is employed at Sears Teleservice. The prospective groom graduated from SHS in May of 1996. He is a volunteer for the Mapleton Fire Department and is employed by Geneva Steet Fire Department and Ambulance. '. The couple plans to be married on Saturday, May 30, 1998 at the j Provo Canyon Vivian Park. A reception will be held in their honor from 6 to 9 p.m. that evening at Vivian Park. In case of inclement weather, it will be held at the Hobble Creek LDS Stake Center, 555 S. 600 East, Springville. Cami Jacobson Philip Bingham 1 ninetieth Zora Mae Johnston of Springville Spring-ville will celebrate her ninetieth birthday this Saturday, May 30, , 1998 by being honored at an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Canyon Road Church, 1965 E. Canyon Road. Her children extend an invitation to all those who know and love her. She has become known as the Magic Blanket Lady," making and giving away over 500 lap quilts of various sizes, colors and , .materials. This has been a joy to er and a comfort to many. After hearing that babies in foreign for-eign countries were going home wrapped in newspaper, she has ent hundreds of large and small Wankets to the LDS Sort Center for distribution to third world .countries. She continues to make ;and give away blankets to anyone in need. Her children say that she has the incredible ability to make the pest out of any situation by being ,able to turn a lemon into lemon-jade. lemon-jade. Her talents are as varied as jher quilts-singing, performing, ipainting, sewing, playing the organ, dancing, cooking healthful 'foods and always being interested in the children. I She has been a major contributor contribu-tor to the building of two lovely tiomes in her life. Gathering rock', for a fireplace and bricks for the walls and lumber from buildings jbeing torn down. She has made a Tainy day at home seem like a choice experience for her children, chil-dren, making popcorn and honey-candy honey-candy and playing games, singing and dancing while she played the piano. ; Her life has been one of joy and commitment. She has served in all of the LDS Church organi-' zations, served a mission to the Northwestern States, '. worked in the Provo LDS Temple for 10 years and coordinated Arts and Crafts for Education Week at BYU for nine years. After her husband deserted her, she attended and graduated from BYU in 1956. She taught second grade in Richfield and Duchesne. She later married Howard John Johnston, who passed away after 12 years of marriage. Then she married Taylor Turner. ' , In her 70's, she wrote the book, "Grandma Can I Take It Home." She has been alone for over 20 years, but surrounded by many neighborhood children and friends who call her "grandma.
