He lived his life in service and compassion. He had a great love for people, particularly children. His greatest joys were the times spent with his children and grandchildren. He served (in Cub Scouting for many years. He also worked in the Little League Baseball program for several years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Kiwanis Club. He had a beautiful bass voice and loved to sing. He also played the organ and loved to play his own arrangements of favorite songs. Arvelia Hansen Robbins, 93, passed away at her son's home surrounded by loved ones on February 10, 1997. Arvelia was born January 28, 1904 in Emery, Utah to Carrie Matilda Williams Hansen and Neils Christian Hansen. She was the oldest of eight children, five who preceded her in death; Thressa (Howard) Ricks. Salt Lake; Jenial (Clyde) Mortensen, Emery; Thelma (Leo) Olsen, Bountiful; Donald . (Wanda) Hansen, Ingle-wood, Ingle-wood, CA; Clive (Mable) Hansen. Salt Lake. She married Harvey J. Robbins, April 19, 1929 in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death October 9, 1965. Arvelia was an active member of the LDS Church and served two missions, served as Relief Society President three times and filled many other church callings. call-ings. Some of her greatest great-est loves were serving others and music. She was active in Leah H. Harrison Leah Hales Harrison, 96, a truly exceptional woman, died February 8, 1997. She was born September 19, 1900 in Mammoth, Utah, the daughter of George and Eliza Brockbank Hales and was raised in Spanish Span-ish Fork. Following graduation from Brigham Young University she taught home economics at Lincoln High School, Tintic High School and Springville High School. She married Milton H. Harrison May 23. 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 16, 1986. She was an active, faithful member of the . LDS Church and Soften -reminded her family that their greatest joy would come from serving the Lord. She was an avid Brigham Young University Univer-sity fan, never missing a game either in person or on the radio. Her wit, homemaking skills, interest in others and phenomenal memory made her a source of delight to everyone who knew her. She is survived by daughters: Jane H. (Richard) (Ric-hard) Calder. Bert was the son of Alton B. and Donna Thomas Giles. He was born March 3, 1928 in Provo, Utah, a lifelong resident of Provo. He received his education in Provo graduating from Provo High School in 1936. He married Joyce Blacken October 1. 1948 in Provo. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Bert served in the United States Navy during World War and in Korea.
