They all stepped into a big piece of elastic material and had to work together to move throughout the school without losing anybody. They learned that working as a team and being friendly to each other and others in the school is important. They also learned that being a good example is an important skill. The student council spearheaded a drive to collect 735 cans of food from the students for the Community Action of Utah County. OBITUARIES Lauren Lauren Lee Bryan,' 60, died January 12, 1997, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born August 20. 1986 in Ferron, Utah to Lauren and Una Bertelsen Bryan. Bry-an. He married Joyce Austin September 6, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lauren attended schools in Ferron, Monroe Mon-roe and Springville, graduating from high school and LDS Seminary. Semi-nary. He loved all sports and represented his school in various scholastic scho-lastic events. Scouting meant a lot to him during dur-ing his life and he held Stella J. Dennis Stella Johnson Dennis, Den-nis, age 78, of Provo, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, great-grandmother, went to meet her husband, sons and grandson, after a very long-awaited reunion. re-union. Stella was born January 16, 1919 in Provo, Utah to Joseph Peter and Florence Ellen Johnson. She married Boyd Lamar Dennis on September 16, 1937 in Provo. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death February 12, 1962. She was a hard working, very loving woman. She loved farming farm-ing and working in the garden and outdoors. She treasured her family as if it were a pirate's find. She was there for anyone who needed a pal, and a pal she was to everyone who met her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, DeVar Dennis. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, at 2 p.m. in the Provo Sunset 3rd Ward Chapel, 1909 W. 1020 South, Provo. Friends may call Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon at the ward chapel one hour prior to services. He was respected and loved by those who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bryan, Las Vegas; four children: Gregory Lee Bryan, Las Vegas; Kenneth Scott Bryan, Las Vegas; Lori Ann Schiller, Montrose, CO; and Kathleen Howard, Ho-ward, Las Vegas. He has 12 grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother, Una Bertelsen Bryan, Springville; brother, Merril Bryan, Page, AZ: sisters: Lucille Frazier, Springville; and Deanna Bryan, Provo. He was preceded in death by his father, Lauren, on April 18, 1994. Funeral services were held in Las Vegas on Thursday, January 16 at the LDS Chapel on Viking.
