Show SOCIAL EVENTS Ann Miner to marry David Makin Ann Miner will marry David M. Makin on January 17, 1997 in the Provo LDS Temple. The couple will be honored at a reception that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the LDS church located at 804 S. 400 East in Springville. - Ann is the daughter of Richard K. and Helen C. Miner of Springville. She graduated from Springville High School and Brigham Young University and served an LDS mission to Concep-cion, Concep-cion, Chile. She teaches 4th Grade at Goshen Elementary School. David is the son of Mark A. and Pat B. Makin of Orem. He graduated from Mt. View High School and Southern Utah University and served an LDS mission to Vancouver, Canada. He is employed as a resource teacher at Park and Mapleton Elementary Schools. The couple will make their home in Springville. The couple plans to be married on Saturday, January 18, 1997 in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple. A reception will be held for the newlyweds that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Springville Stake Center, 698 Kolob Circle, Springville. - - The bride-to-be graduated from Provo High School and LDS Seminary.' She has attended Utah' Valley State1 College and works at Circuit City. The prospective groom graduated from Springville High School and LDS Seminary. He served an LDS mission in South Dakota. He attends UVSC and works at Homebase. The couple plans to make their home in Springville. W r S &t vy u David Makin Ann Miner Shane Halona - Cheree Darbro Auditions for Chidren's group Spotlight Entertainment will be conducting auditions Saturday, January 18, from 12 to 2:30 p.m. Boys and girls, age 5-16 are asked to prepare a short song and to wear comfortable clothes to dance in. Vocal auditions will be held between 12 and 1:15 p.m. with dance auditions immediately following. The auditions will be held at the Academy of Ballet in Springville, 239 S. Main. Three groups, ages 5-7, 8-12 and 13-16, will rehearse weekly through June to prepare for summer sum-mer performances throughout Utah County. The three different shows will include medleys from the latest animated Disney films, a patriotic tribute to America and a showcase of Broadway musicals. musi-cals.
