He will speak in church on November 10, 1996 at 9 a.m. in the. Red Church, 1200 North in Maple-ton. Maple-ton. He will enter the MTC on November 13. Brent Kynaston, son of Can-dace Can-dace Kynaston of Mapleton and Dorel Kynaston of Orem, has returned home after serving an LDS mission in the Baltic States. He was called to the Latvia Riga Mission and served in the country of Estonia. Last summer the mission home was moved to another country, so Brent returns from the Lithuania Lithua-nia ' Vilnius Mission. He will speak in church on Sunday, November 10, 1996, at 11 a.m., in the Mapleton 2nd Ward, Red Church, 1215 N. 100 West. He and his family invite you to stop by their home to visit after the meeting. He will speak in church on Sunday, November 10, 1996 at 10:50 a.m. in the Springville 16th Ward, 1700 E. 400 South, Springville. Iron Man outing for OA Scouts Last Friday and Saturday the Order of the Arrow held their annual Iron Man activity. It was held at Camp Jeremiah Johnson on Friday night with an obstacle course and elections on Saturday. The weather cooperated although it was cold until the sun came up in the morning. The boys enjoyed good food and had a lot of fun on the challenging chal-lenging obstacle course. The next Order of Arrow activity will be to cook the meal for the district awards banquet on November 2 1 . Call Bruce Palmer if you are interested in this activity either as a youth or adult leader. Legion to honor veterans of wars The Provo Dean Mendenhall Post 13 of the American Legion will present Veterans' Day programs pro-grams on Sunday, November 10, and Monday, November 11. Veteran's Day, November 11, is a national holiday, and they invite all to show their love for their country and fly their flags. The Sunday service will be held in the Provo Tabernacle at 7 p.m. The Utah State National Guard Band will play military-type military-type music, Senator Bennett will speak and military awards will be presented to a World War II veteran. This program will be under the direction of Provo City. Monday at 10 a.m. a parade will proceed down Freedom Boulevard (200 West). It will start at 100 North and continue to 500 North, then it will turn west finishing at the Provo Senior Center located at 270 W. 500 North. The parade will be held regardless of weather conditions. Continuing at 11 a.m. the Independence High School ROTC, Rifle team will fire a 21 -Gun Salute as the American Flag is Bishop Rulon P. Following the outdoor service there will be a short program inside the senior center with lunch served at 11:45 a.m. The cost of this luncheon will be by donation. All proceeds of this lunch will be donated to the Veterans' Hospital in Salt Lake City. Donations will pay for veterans' rehabilitation and Christmas Chris-tmas gifts. If you are donating by check, it should be made out to "The American Legion, Post 13", donations are tax deductible. An alternative to a monetary donation dona-tion could be a wrapped gift for a veteran. The Retired Officers Association Associa-tion (TROA), the Disabled American Amer-ican Veterans (DAV) and Provo Veterans Office, will participate with the Provo Veterans Council and the American Legion for the Monday events. Each day they can participate partici-pate in playing cards, billiards and quilting. On Tuesday and Thursdays the card group have an afternoon get-together to play cards. On Wednesday after dinner, the seniors play Bingo. Those who wish to make rugs are invited to come and see the lovely rugs which have been made. Classes are open for new members. The Heat Program for the senior citizens will be held this Friday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The following information will be needed: Some form of identification, social security cards for yourself and all persons in your household who are age 18 or over, a copy of your most recent utility bill, and Ross at the Provo Veterans Center, Cen-ter, 377-1117..
