Jf 65? 0 Vincent Miner II captured first place in his cub division at the UBA State Field and Hunter Archery championships June 29-30. He had won first place in all five state championships events and has locked up the state's cub division overall championship for 1996. he has competed in 16 state schoots of which he has won 12. Scholarship earned at USU Ty E. Metcalf, Springville, received the Carlton and Edna Culmsee English Scholarship from Utah State University. Metcalf, son of Sam and Bonnie Bon-nie Metcalf, is married to Melissa Richins of Lehi. He attended Springville High School and Utah Valley State College. At UVSC, he was a member of College Times Editorial Board, executive vice-president of the Presidential Ambassador Council and was named to the Dean's List. At USU, Metcalf is a junior in English. He has been active in the Honors Program and as a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honors Society. India has at least 300 known languages, 24 of which each have one million or more speakers. r - ,l X' V' Li . -J ' Nestle Frozen Foods of Springville has been honored with a plaque commemorating their contribution to the students of Nebo School District. Pat Thatcher of Nestle received the plaque from Larry Kimball, Secondary Education Educa-tion Director, and Glenn Holmes, District Media Specialist. One of the things that Nestle does to support education is provide science videos. These videos are available for all classrooms class-rooms from the District Media Center. The program is produced by Science Screen Report and the National Science Teachers Association. Trish Larsen R.N., has joined Nestle Frozen Foods as an occupational occu-pational health nurse. Trish comes from California where she has more than 20 years of experience in supervision of occupational health. Trish and her huband live in American Fork. Rob Carlisle has joined Nestle Frozen Foods as a human resource re-source supervisor. Rob came from the Idaho Employment Council where he worked as a consultant. Rob holds a B.S. in business from Brigham Young University. He, his wife and three children live in Orem. Tennts Goad Springville High School is looking for a TENNIS COACH. It was witnessed by Eric Anderson and Steve Braun. Shawn Delaney has joined Nestle Frozen Foods as an equipment preparation and setup set-up team leader. Shawn comes from Wawa Dairies in Wawa, PA where he was employed as operations manager. Shawn is a 1994 graduate of Utah State University with a B.S. in food science. Shawn and his family will relocate to the Utah County area in the near future. Nestle Frozen Foods announces the promotion of Lloyd Peterson Peter-son to group leader in the maintenance department. Lloyd joined Nestle in June of 1987 as a maintenance mechanic and served the company as a lead person and team leader in the engineering and maintenance department. Lloyd holds a B.S. Degree in welding technology from Utah State University. Lloyd and his family reside in Springville.
