He discussed the culture of such islands as American Samoa and Tonga. Several photos were shown of the royal family of Tonga. Wilson was in charge of finishing a house for the queen. The lower part of the ;- house was ornamented with beautiful patterns made up of South ; Pacific sea shells. He also showed many interesting items he collected in islands of the South Pacific including an antique ; wooden kava bowl. From the onset, it was designed for real practical use and benefit by each individual, individu-al, business, government, military, mili-tary, educational institution or various rodeo events, is currently being exhibited at the Montana Historical Society Museum in Helena. As Bascom cowboyed back in the 1920's in the Sweet-grass Sweet-grass Hills of Montana along Kicking Horse Creek, his cowboy equipment has been included in the exhibit "Riders Under the Big Sky" and his art work is part of the exhibit "The Horse in Art." Bascom art was also part of a Professional Rodeo Cowboy-Artists Cowboy-Artists Association art exhibit' held during the recent National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. The PRCAA exhibit is open to western west-ern artists who are active or retired members of the Professional Profes-sional Rodeo Cowboys Association Associa-tion headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Earl Bascom, who was professional profes-sional rodeo cowboy from 1918-1940, 1918-1940, was the first Utah bronc ridercowboy artist to show in the . Las Vegas invitational exhibit. Of his art.
