Try this breathing exercise that will open the chest and upper and lower abdominals to reduce tension: First, sit straight in your chair with feet flat on the floor and arms resting to your side. Tilt your head back while placing one hand on your abdomen. Breath in deeply through your nose, feeling first your lungs expanding, then your upper abdomen, and finally your lower abdomen. Pause for a few seconds sec-onds and feel your chest and stomach expand-then exhale with a loud sigh and let your head and body fall forward. Repeat this exercise three to four times. Each time, concentrate on exhaling all the stress from your stomach. u Westside School PTA and students are honoring honor-ing their faculty and teachers this week for Taecher Appreaciation Week.
