They were married Feb. 8, 1933, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by George F. Richards. Kelsey was born at Mapleton, Utah, June 5, 1909, the son of John H. and Emma S. Kelsey Lee. He attended at-tended Mapleton Grade School and Springville High School. He worked for two or three farmers in Mapleton and Smart Feed in Springville. Then worked for Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Co., retiring from there in June 1974 after 27V2 years. Dorothea was born Dec. 15, 1913, at Elwood, Utah, the daughter of Casper and Carrie Anderson An-dreasen. An-dreasen. She attended Elwood Grade School and Bear River High School and LDS Seminary. She has been an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Sunday School teacher, Primary teacher, and in various positions in Relief Society, teacher, ward leader, quilting chairman, second counselor, librarian. She has been a visiting teacher 34 years. Her hobbies are crocheting and flowers. The Lees have lived in Mapleton all their married life. They have one daughter, Mrs. Bud (Kathleen) Losee, of St. George and three grandchildren. Harrison and Margaret Conover celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Wednesday. They were married Feb. 2, 1933, in the Salt Lake Temple. In 1935 they "temporarily" "tem-porarily" moved into a home at 157 W. 200 S. and are still living there. Mr. Conover was born and raised in Provo, attended schools there and was a Brigham Young University student for four years filling all graduation requirements. He served a three-year mission in Tahiti and has given a lifetime of service to community and civic organizations. In 1934 Mr. Conover began managing The Springville Herald which was at that time owned by the Provo Herald (Scripps League Newspapers). He purchased the Springville newspaper in 1939, bringing ownership back to Springville where The Springville Herald was originally begun. He built the building where the newspaper is presently located at 161 South Main and also formed Art City Publishing Company. Later he purchased The Mt. Pleasant Pyramid and started publishing the Eureka Reporter. He has published thousands of high school and college yearbooks throughout the years and annually held a "yearbook school" for staff members. Students from Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, and Arizona looked forward to the workshops each year. Mr. Conover served two terms in the Utah State Legislature House of Representatives and for the past 16 years has been Utah County Assessor. He has served on numerous committees and as president of Utah State Assessors. Margaret Bird Conover was born and raised in Springville, graduated from Springville High School and BYU. She has been active in women's clubs, civic and community com-munity affairs, serving as president of the city's Beautification Com-' mittee which took national honors under her direction. She was asked to organize and be chairman of the Shade Tree Commission in 1967 and was instrumental in planning and completion of the city's Bicentennial Park in 1976; in obtaining flag poles and flags on the north and south ends of the city; and in having Springville designated as Tree City USA. She has done extensive work in preservation of pioneer trees in the city, having many of them named as Heritage Trees, and was instrumental in-strumental in getting Utah's Heritage Tree bill passed by the Legislature. She also worked in the Legislature for three sessions and was president of the Utah Association of Shade Tree Commission. Com-mission. While many couples wait until they are retired to travel, the Conovers enjoyed it as a hobby and have traveled extensively throughout the world, enjoying the people they met and the conventions they attended. A reception will honor them that evening from 7 to 9 at the Springville Museum of Art. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Parents of the couple are Mary Allman, Springville, Mr. & Mrs. Curtis Roe Allman, Mapleton, Mr. Larry Rayburn, Springville, and Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Beck Orem. The bride-elect was a graduate of Springville High School, attended BYU and is presently employed as a dental assistant in Springville. Her fiance also graduated from Springville High School and presently owns a Pizza Restaurant in Springville. Bridal attendants will be Shaunna Whitlock as maid of honor, and Susan Ferguson, matron of honor. Weight-Wood marriage announced Announcement is made of the marriage of Lucille M. Weight of Springville to Fred T. Wood, Leth-bridge, Leth-bridge, Alberta, Canada. The ceremony was performed Saturday, Jan. 29 in Honolulu, Hawaii, where the couple will reside until April when they will go to Leth-bridge Leth-bridge to make their home. Dr. Wood is an orthodontist surgeon in that area. Bridesmaids are Lisa Allman and Tammy Averett, with Alisha Lyn Ferguson as flower girl. Craig Hitchcock, Kelly Hansen, Doug Oldroyd and Clair Averett will serve the bridegroom as best men. Special guests will be grandparents grand-parents of the bride and groom, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Morrill, St. George; Mrs. Elsie Allman, Springville; and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Robinson, Mapleton. Prenuptial parties have been given by Susan Ferguson, Sue and Mary Lou Allman, Nora Creer, Elma Shipp, Susan Cope, Jean Beck, Tammy Averett, Shaunna and Ellie Whitlock.
