An investment n a MORE THAN A BUILDING The summer is over and the children are back at school, much to the relief of many parents. But it is not the time to relax and be complacent, for the child's mere presence at school does not mean he is gaining what he should. Without the proper attitudes and the right kind of people involved in education, school is only a building where the child goes every day. We should not just turn our children over to the school, and assume the teachers will make everything turn out all right. Without support from home, the teacher's job becomes difficult, almost impossible. We as parents must teach our children to respect themselves and others, to respect authority and obey rules without yielding individuality. We must instill in them a desire to learn and improve. These are things that will make the difference between going through school and getting an education. , Photo and Text by David Bly THIRTEENTH WARD Bishop James W.
