He was ' active in scouting and he had achieved the rank of eagle. He was also active in the order of the arrow. He served four years in Ray Lee Hansen Ray Lee Hansen, 16, of 312 W. 100 North, Springville, Died Wednesday, Wed-nesday, July 14 at The University of Utah Medical Center of complications following surgery. He was born June 1, 1966 in Payson, Utah, the son of Lee Ray. the United States Army, serving in Korea, and as a guard at Tooele Army Depot. He attained the rank of sergeant, and also received many military honors and commendations. com-mendations. He is survived by his parents of Springville, one brother and three sisters, Jerry Cobb of Lay ton; Mrs. Kenneth (Maureen) Hansen of Juneau, Alaska; Mrs. Steven (Debbie) Smith of Payson, and Melodie Clark of Santaquin; grandmother Bertha Chamberlain of Olympia Wash.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral was conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Springville 8th-10th-23rd Ward Chapel, 355 E. Center. Military rites were presented by VFW District Four and cremation followed. Vcnda Corson Miner Wanda Carson Miner, 64, of 1492 S. Main St., Springville, died Tuesday, July 13, at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo following a short illness. She was born Aug. 30, 1917 at Salem, Utah the daughter of Augustus Ray and Margaret Beck Carson. She was raised most of Ray Lee Hasen and LaRayne Devenish Hansen. He was a member of the LDS , Church, where he was a priest. He was also active in scouting, holding the rank of Life. He attended Springville High School, and was a member of the A'capella choir.. He is survived by his parents of Springville, three brothers and four sisters: Mrs. Joseph (Melody) Nuttall, Tammy Hansen, Charlie Hansen, Matt Hansen, Sherri Hansen, Shelli Hansen, Luke Hansen, all of Springville. Grandparents, Grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. R. (Tonny) Devenish of Springville, and Mrs. Erma Hansen of Riverton. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Springville third-ninth-22nd Ward Chapel, 100 N. Main St. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary in Springville Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., or Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. her life by her grandparents, grand-parents, George C. and Rebecca Carson. She was married to Don Thomas Miner Aug. 20, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She attended public schools in Salem and Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. Mrs. Miner was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many ward positions. She taught classes in Primary, Sunday School and Y.W.M.I.A. She had served as Ward Magazine Director and at the present time was serving as an assistant ward librarian and as visiting teacher in the Relief Society. Mrs. Miner was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Camp Hobble Creek and was serving as their , Captain for the second term. . Twenty-one grandchildren, two half-brothers half-brothers and three half-sisters: half-sisters: Carl Carson, Allen Carson and Mrs. Hannah Marie Farley, all of Salem, Utah; Mrs. Daphine Chipman, Virginia and Mrs. Barbara Bar-bara Draayer, Bountiful, Utah. Three uncles with whom she was raised: Lester Carson of Ogdeh, Utah, Randle Carson and Clifton Carson, both of Salem, Utah. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 16 at 11 a.m. in the Springville Second LDS Ward Chapel, at 451 S.
