The 15-member council, which was created by an executive order in April 1981, is comprised of small business owners from throughout the state. The council is charged with the responsibility to provide a forum in which Utah small businesses can identify and set priorities for key action at the state levej on issues affecting the climate for small business in Utah. "The 1982 Utah Conference Con-ference on Small Business has been called to fulfill this responsibility." respon-sibility." said Ray S. Robisnon, Chairman of the council. "The council has called for a conference con-ference consisting of eight regional meetings across the state at which small business owners will identify and discuss key issues. Delegates selected from the regional meetings will be charged to represent their area at a statewide meeting in May, along with delegates appointed by the , Governor and members of the legislature. By initiating the conference with regional meetings the council hopes to involve more small businesses at the grassroots level," Festival seeks theatre director The Utah Arts Festival wishes to hire an experienced ex-perienced director of musical theatre to direct and choreograph the western premier of Daimond Studs, the Festival's first theatre production. Diamond Studs is the bluegrass folk tale of the life of Jesse James; it includes seventeen musical numbers and calls for a cast of twelve to fourteen players-musicians. Daimond Studs will be the Utah Arts Festival's first professional theatre production.
