Williams 1. li Roger Rife, Sheri Walker Roger Rife, Sheri Walker set ceremony Mr. E.A. Walker and Mrs. Ellen Walker are happy to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sheri, to Roger Alan Rife, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlos E. Rife, Springville. The couple will be married on June 27 in the Salt Lake Temple. Following the ceremony that evening, they will be honored at a reception at the Kolob Stake Center, in Springville, and friends and relatives are invited to attend. The bride will be attended by Jody Wood as maid-of-honor with her sisters, Lana Smith, Nancy Collinwood, Trena Wichman, and Heidi Walker as bridesmaids. Little Britteny Wichman and Anne Rife will serve as flower girls. Best man duties will be shared by Richard C. Rife and Michael North. Special guests for the wedding will include Mrs. Millie Rife, grandmother of the bridegroom, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Merrill, of Riverside, California. The bride attended school in California graduating with honors from Ramona High School, Riverside, California, where she was active in music, art, and drama. She has also been a student at BYU. Mr. Rife graduated from Springville High School, where he was active in athletics. He is a four year Seminary graduate and served an LDS mission in Antwerp, Belgium. Roger is presently a senior majoring in Zoology at BYU. Following a honeymoon trip to New York City, the couple will reside in Orem. She is the former Christine Davies, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Davies, Springville, and he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger D. Williams, South San Francisco, California. The couple exchanged wedding vows in rites solemnized June 20, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Officiating was Selvoy J. Boyer. Parents of the groom were hosts at a wedding breakfast for members of the wedding party at the Heather, in Salt Lake City, following the marriage. A reception in their honor was hosted that evening in the Kolob LDS Stake Center by the parents of the bride. The bride wore a gown of white organza, accented by chantilly lace. The sculptured neckline and soft puffed sleeves complimented the delicate chapel length train. Attending her as matron-of-honor was her sister, Lucille D. Olsen, with bridesmaids Lisa N. York, Debbie B. Wilson and Chris T. Munson. Junior bridesmaids were Angela Olsen and Allison Davies, nieces of the bride. The bridal attendants wore floor length gowns of blue dotted swiss. Acting as best man was John Lahaderne. Ushers were Roger Davies, Alan Williams, and Bryan Davies. Greeters for the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Davies. Sitting at the guest register were Lori M. Tuttle and Sydne Stott. Gift bearers were Scott Davies, Brent Davies, and Michael Olsen, nephews of the bride, with Wendy Fullmer and Ann Ruff supervising the gifts. Assisting with the serving were Linda Burt, Jennifer Carter, De-Ann Eastman, Kimberly Hill and Julie Watters. Mrs. Ted Martindale acted as hostess in the serving' area. A garden reception will honor the couple that same evening from 8-10 p.m. at the home of the bride's parents, 560 N. 970 East, Springville. In case of inclement weather, it will be held at the Springville North Stake Center, 350 N. 400 East. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. The bride-elect is a graduate of Springville High School, where she was active in FHA. Her fiance is also a graduate of Springville High School and has attended Utah Tech College majoring in Business Education. A wedding luncheon at the Juniper Inn hosted by the groom's parents followed the ceremony. That evening an open house was held in the North Logan Second and Third Ward. Special guest was Mrs. Ada Walker, grandmother of the groom. On June 12, a reception was held in the Mapleton Second and Sixth Ward.
