Show Page Four - The Springville Herald - June 7, 1979 club news social events weddings Jeanne Grow to wed Steven Whiting Jeanne Ann Grow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart L. Grow of Provo will become the bride of Steven H. Whiting in a ceremony tomorrow in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Following the marriage, parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Ray S. Whiting of Mapleton, will host the wedding party at a luncheon in the Hotel Utah. - A reception will honor the couple Friday evening at the BYU Alumni House in Provo. Attending the bride will be Ann Christensen Bunker and Carolyn Grow, sisters of the bride. Best man will be Mikel R. Whiting, brother of the groom. Throughout the evening, guests will be greeted by brothers and sisters of the couple: Mr. and Mrs. Ronald S. Startin, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart L. Grow, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hakes, Mr. and Mrs. B. Clyde Gammell and Robert M. Grow. Serving at the registry will be Mary Bunker and Mrs. Mikel R. Whiting. A string trio, provided by Natalie Reed, will furnish music during the evening. The bride will be wearing her grandmother's wedding gown, fashioned with a high neckline and trimmed with intricate handsewn lace on the bodice, skirt and sleeves. The bride has chosen a floor length veil, edged in matching lace and attached to a pearled tiara. Prenuptial parties were given by Mrs. Ralph Reed Olsen, Mrs. Robert H. Slover and Mrs. Weldon J. Taylor, Mrs. Loftis J. Sheffield and Mrs. Phillip V. Christensen, Mr. andMrs. Melvin P. Mabey, and Natalie Reed. The newly weds will make their home in Provo until mid-August when they will travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan to continue their graduate studies. Jeanne Ann Grow Christine Huff to marry Greg D. Asay Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Huff of Lake Shore, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Christine, to Mr. Greg D. Asay of Mapleton. Mr. Asay is the son of Mr. Jack Asay and Mrs. Audrey Gavin: The couple will be married on Monday, June 25. A reception will honor them that evening at the Oak Crest Inn, from 7 until 9 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Miss Huff is an honor graduate of Spanish Fork High School where she was active in drafting and the A Capella Choir. She also attended Utah Technical College at Provo on a Governor's Craftsman Scholarship. She is presently employed in Spanish Fork. Mr. Asay is a graduate of Springville High School and is presently employed in Mapleton. Following their marriage, the couple will reside in Springville. Nearly one hundred guests are expected to attend the reunion which will begin at 6:30 p.m. this Saturday, June 9 at the Springville Museum of Art. Guests are encouraged en-couraged to arrive early and visit the museum prior to the reunion. A programj presented by the graduates will provide entertainment for the evening, which has teen planned by Paul Haymond, general chairman, and his committee.
