Oiwntewrdi TEIREO 10 DAYS 22, 1979 The Springville Herald - Page Seven i ought to know better by oneita sumsion A lot of women I know would like to think they married their husbands for better or worse but f not for lunch. And if you ask me, it's hubby's own fault. I grew up with a father who was also a farmer. And lunchtime came when he finished the furrow fur-row not when my mother had food on the table. I vowed I would marry a businessman who took his lunch hour from 12 to 1 regardless of anything, including what time he ate his breakfast. Instead, I married a man who for years had prepared his own noon meal whenever he felt like eating it. He had a mother who figured that if she fed her brood a good breakfast, her cooking chores were finished finish-ed for the day. His senior year in high school he ate nothing for lunch but fruit cocktail a can a day all year. He was so well trained in his own lunch routine, that in 28 years of married life, having exhausted every resource, I still haven't been able to change it. That odd-ball hour of the day that hubby dear calls noon.. .falls anywhere from mid a.m. until the end of doom. ..if I plan lunch for 12 o'clock, he comes at 3 or 4.. .but should I chance to wait awhile.. .at 12. ..high noon.. .he's at the door! So, I play it by ear, and to this day I know of only one man so well organized that he eats by the clock and not by his stomach pains. ONLY HURRY IN NOW! MANY STYLES TO CHOOSE FROM!
