During World War II, he served in thei Philippine Islands. She was born April 7, 1931 in Cowley, Wyo., to John and Nancy P. Cowley Monk. She married C. "Will" Haralson on June 30, 1955 in the Cardston LDS Temple. . Mrs. Haralson received her education in Cowley and graduated from the high school there in 1949. Bird, 61, of 501 S. 300 ;E., Springville, was dead on arrival at Utah Valley Hospital Saturday, May 8, 1976 following a heart attack suffered a short itime earlier at his home. He was born Feb. 14, 1915 in Springville, the son of William Arthur and Mary Amelia Bryan, Bird. He married Evelyn' Metcalf on Nov. 6, 1934 in Heber jCity. The marriage later was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church.
