Show Page Eight The Springville Herald April 8, 1976 Springville man succumbs of heart ailment Anthony Walter Langford, 76, of Springville, died of a heart attack Wednesday, March 31, 1976 at Utah Valley Hospital. He was born March 5, 1900 in Oaxaca, Mexico, a son of James H. and I.ydia Jackson Langford. He married Nora Beck on April 17, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Langford received his education in ' Mexico and in Price, where he moved at the age of 12. For many years he was employed by Utah-Idaho Sugar Co. in Spanish Fork until retiring. " , He was a high priest in the LDS Church. Survivors include his widow; three sons and two daughters, Harvey B. Langford, Las Vegas; Tony Langford, Sundance, Wyo.; John A. Langford, Clearfield; Mrs. Robert H, (Mary Lou) Orme, Provo; Mrs. Kent (Janet) Harding, Salt Lake City; 24 , grandchildren; five brothers and ' three sisters, Ernest Langford and George Langford, both of Oregon; Angus Langford, Magna; Clarence Langford, Oaxaca; Fount Langford, Overton, Nev.; Mrs. Alden Pat (Ella) Snell, Orem; Mrs. Phillip (Vera) Snell, Bountiful, and Mrs. Pearl Wingar, Salt Lake City.. Funeral was Saturday at noon in the Springville Seventh Ward Chapel. Burial was in Spanish Fork City Cemetery.' She was born Aug. 22, 18 in Goshen, the daughter of John R. and Elizabeth Ann Burraston Morgan. She was married to Robert Earnest White, June 11, 1917 in Provo. The marriage was later solomnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. White died in 1974. Mrs. White lived in Goshen and Pleasant Grove prior to moving to Springville. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary and was active in the PTA. She is survived by three sons, Robert E. White Jr., Springville; Stanley L. White, Rexburg, Ida.; G. Randall White, Orem; 16 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters, Bert Morgan, Nephi, Willis Morgan, Goshen; Mrs. Ira (Lillian) Miller, Rock-ford, Rock-ford, 111., Mrs. Wayne (Rachel) Toolson, Clearfield, and Mrs. Jacob (Sadie) Dietz, Salt Lake City. Funeral was conducted Tuesday in the Wheeler Mortuary Mor-tuary Chapel in Springville. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Gledhill, i Springville; and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Sunday, Orem; great-grandparents, Mrs. Anna K. Johnson, Springville; and Mrs. Lareta Abbott, Provo. Graveside services were Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Provo City Cemetery. He was born Aug. 22, 1909 in Aurora, Sevier County, to Charles Arthur and Emily Andrews Kennedy. He married Hortensen Crowthers on March 25, 1931 in Richfield and she died in 1971. Mr. Kennedy was a farmer in Aurora. He moved to Mapleton in 1947 and was employed at Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Co. He had lived in Provo since 1971. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Vera) Casper, Orem; Kenneth Kennedy and Vernal Kennedy, both of Provo; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Curtis,- and Mrs. Lucille Johnson, both of Aurora; Mrs. Emma Turner, Torrey, Wayne County, and Mrs. Leah Quarenburg, Scipio, Millard County. Father dies Funeral services for William Shirley , Black Sr., 87, of St. George, who died of a heart ailment Thursday, April 1, 1976 in the Dixie Medical Center, were Monday in the Ivins, Washington County, Ward Chapel. Mr. Black was the father of three Springville residents. He was born Jan. 30, 1889 in Deseret, Millard County, to George Ayers and Emily Partridge Par-tridge Black. He married Verna Johnson on April 10, 1912 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and she died Aug. 28, 1962. He married Marva Spencer Snow on Feb. 19, 1964 in the St. George Temple. Survivors include his widow; five sons and two daughters, William Shirley Black Jr., Nampa, Ida.; Karl Black, Mrs. Leon (Nyta) Giles and Mrs. Edison (LaVeive) Breckenridge, all of Springville; Vernal J. Black, Salt Lake City; Maurice D. Stadium Avenue, Provo, died Tuesday, March 30, 1976, at the Utah Valley Hospital. Mr. Simmons was born Dec. 22, 1953 at Eugene, Ore., the son of Miles Edward and LaPreal Jones Simmons. Suvivors include his mother, Provo; one brother, Jeremy J. Simmons, Springville; and a grandmother, Mrs. Preal M. Jones, of Provo. " Funeral was at the Berg Mortuary in Provo on Friday. Paul Eggleston, Springville. Mr. Eggleston was born Feb. 13, 1890 in Marshaltown, Iowa, to Eddie and Nettie Warner Eggleston. He married Edith Howard on Feb. 28, 1912 in Qakley, Iowa. She died in April, 1954. '.He' le was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Progress Lodge 22, F&AM .and the Wasatch Presbyterian Church. Survivors include three sons and one daughter, Howard R. State St. Mrs. Reynolds was born in Springville on Oct. 23, 1886 to William Birch and Charlotte Shaples Weters. She married Thomas Henry Reynolds on Oct. 19, 1906 in Salt Lake City, and he died March 20, 1955. She was an active member of the LDS Church. Survivors include one son and three daughters, Myron W. Reynolds, Phoenix; Mrs. George (Marjorie) McCandless, Mid-vale; Mid-vale; Mrs. Clark (Elva) Nichols and Mrs. Earl (Aileen) Quist-' berg, both of Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren, and 20 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. He was the father of Levi R. Ames of Springville. Mr, Ames was born Sept. 14, 1894, in Mound Valley, Idaho, the son of Joseph Arnold Ames and Janet Amelia Austin Ames. He married Gladys Mclntier Dec. 6, 1922, and she preceded him in death in 1927. He married Ethel Effie Orner Feb. 3, 1930, in Blackfoot, Idaho. A veteran of World War I, he worked with Union Pacific Railroad for many years. He also worked for. various potato warehouses in the area. Survivors include his widow; five sons, Azel L.
